anybody do the birth control shot?

I don't have a need for birth control myself, but several of my friends have tried the shot and haven't had any bad effects. It is easier for people who forget the pill sometimes. But if you're already happy with the pill, why change?

Well I have to say that out of all brith control out there I like the shot the most. Although I will say that I am not on it now because the doctor I went to when I had my son said that he would not give me the shot after I had my little one because he flat out said that it makes you fat and moody. But when I was on it, I never had my period which not every female gets that lucky with the shot. Plus the biggest postive thing with it for me is that I lost weight and yet ate all meals. Plus when I was on it for the whole year and half I never got pregnant. Plus it is 99.9 precent effective and it is only needed every 3 months which is a lot easier to take instead of doing the pill and hoping that you don't forget one. Plus you get to choose where you want the shot. You can get it in your A$$, leg or in your arm. I have always got mine in the A$$ though cause it takes in effect faster then the other 2. But then again some doctors perfer the arm though. I am not sure why but who knows. Well I hope that all the info I gave will help you on your decision. Happy Mylotting

hello britt, my niece takes those shots. she's not complaining and i think it suits her. she has two kids now, a boy and a girl. she is sexy as ever. then i also know of a neighbor taking it but it made her so fat (that's what she said was the side effect). but you know what i think? she is eating way too much. hehehehe so i guess the side effects are based on each one's body and the attitude and the care one gives to her body. if you find you like the oral birth control because at the same time it clears up your acne, then why switch? friend, ann
