i call my parents before i go out home or i send text messages of at least two or three messages, for me it's a sign of respect to my parents to let them know where i am, also i experienced it is helpful too, once i was in travel going to an island within our state, i almost lost my life in a fast flowing ocean, but since i had a previous messages to mama that i will take a travel on that specific time to this island they were able to rescue me after the boat sank, they were alarmed few minutes after they call for several times of dialing my number then i could not response, whew! cell phone it's great!

I do not have one to point, I will say whenever I need a Taxi and I need to get home.
(I remember now, once I tripped and hurt my knee, my knee was so swollen that I could not walk home, then I was able to call Frank and he took me home, I was not able to walk for days)

wow thats awesome. I dont have one now cause I cant afford it. Ill tell ya you dont know how awesome a cell phone is till you dont have it anymore. For me I knew how much of a life save they were when i was going with my high school bf and his brother on a camping trip. we were on a long winding road and it was like 2am. There was one other car a ways in front of us going kinda fast. we could see his lights moving back and forth up ahead but couldn't see anything else it was really dark. After awhile we didnt see his lights anymore. about 5 mins later we found him on the side of the road. he had crashed into the side of the mountain and was very delirious. if i didnt have my cell we never would have gotten and ambulance to him in time and he would have lost his life. I had to walk a ways up the road to get a signal but it still saved a life.

The first thing that comes to mind is the time I lost my wallet on the bus. I usually have a bus pass (a card that you buy before the next month begins and it has unlimited use for the whole month) and my pass was in my wallet. I was transferring buses when I realized I didn't have my wallet or my bus pass. I was basically stranded because I had no money on me, so I couldn't pay bus fare to get home. Luckily, I had my cell phone on me and I called my friend and asked her if she wouldn't mind coming and rescuing me (giving me a ride home). She and her husband are so sweet that they actually DID come rescue me! I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have my cell phone on me so I could call her.

girl you were so lucky that your friend and her husband were ready that time to pick you up! well my cousin experienced the same she used to travel twice a week by bus so she also used prepaid bus fare card, it happens that there was an engine trouble so she had to transfer to another ride, a minute after she sat on the the other bus suddenly she observed her hand bag was cut, yes she was a victim of snatching all she lost only the cell phone in her pocket, with that she called someone to help! have a nice day!and thank you!

Nowadays it is hard to leave the house without a cellphone because we are all in a rush and to save time having the cellphone helps you contact somebody. Usually when I forget to tell my helper to do something I just text her or if it is really important its just a call away when you have a cellphone. There was one time I left my phone in my brothers car but I was to be picked up by my brother later in the afternoon. Since I did not have my phone with me, I had a hard time figuring out what time he was picking me up or if he will ever pick me up. I learnt from that and never again did I leave my phone anywhere.

yeah in our day to day routine from morning to evening till in bed room a cell phone should be with us,
yes in typical situation like yours, you would surely regret why you forget your cell phone, and tip is before you go or leave in any place be sure you have with you your cell phone, be it like a part of your cloth, you should wear before you go, if you do it every time you would have an instinct signal in yourself whenever you left it, by that you will be reminded quickly that ooooooooops your CP is not with you! step back and recall...
thank you for having a response, enjoy here in mylot!

I will call my mom daily. without calling her my day wont end. One day, i was late from office, I was returning home in auto. After I got down from the auto i realised that i had dropped my new mobile in the auto. Before i realised that, the driver took the auto and went. I chased/followed that auto in another auto. I tried calling my mobile from my friends mobile. But all efforts were in vain. I couldnt catch him and the mobile also was switched off. That time only, I realised the importance my mobile

oh! what a sad story, in that situation i suggest though it's too late, maybe next time around, try to call the line operator in your place, you could request to banned your mobile number not to let others to use it, or other option you could keep on trying to call on your number and request the holder to return it back! diplomacy and soft talk might do, anyway thank you so much and enjoy staying here in mylot!

adding to this discussion i will say that, usage of cell phones is good but upto an certain extent. Cell phones with bluetooth, wifi, infrared and sensors are as harmful as smoking. It depends upon what kind of cell phones you use. As far as communicating is conserned i will agree to what you said. but i strongly disagree to the way you reacted because they are not that good.

yes you have a point! cell phone is effective and helpful electronic device use in various purposes, when use has a dual outcome, either good ( as what we discussed here) or a bad outcome like those you've mentioned,
Here we are focusing on the good experience that the cell phone brought in our life.
anyway thank you so much for your reply.have a happy day in texting and calling! :):):) smile here in mylot!

I discovered back in November that I really really need a cell phone. Unfortunatly I just don't be able to seem to budget for one. I'm a single mom with two school age kids and we had an issue where my daughter was brought to the hospital from the school. (You can find out more in my previous post about Little Heroes). I'm just lucky that I happened to be at home when the vice principal came to pick me up. I need a cell phone in case of emergancy but just can't seem to afford one.

Yes, there was. I always carry my cellphone with me everyday, but there was a time when I forgot to recharge the battery the night before so it was totally "emtpy-batt", as what they call it. Anyway, on my way home, I forgot to inform my mom that I will be late for dinner because I was busy with my projects. I didn't know that they were out of the house because they had dinner somewhere else, and the worse is I didn't have my key and the spare battery with me (yeah, it was a bad day for me afterall). When I got home, the house was in total darkness, no lights were turned on and I did use the doorbell for a hundred times. I could not call them also because my battery was empty. Good thing my aunt arrived and she told me where my parents were...plus she let me used her phone for awhile..

thank you for a very good story you had shared, yes during the times like this we are really in need of cell phone, so your experience would remind us that we should make sure our cell phone is full charged if possible whenever we will go out home, thanks to your aunt's cell phone, it saved you from wasting your time of waiting for your family, i guess one thing is you don't know where is their exact location that time or if you know it's not convenient for you to go because of many reasons like you're already tired.
we should give a value to your cell phone whether it's high or low cost.enjoy your day here in mylot! enjoy texting and calling with your cell phone, don't forget to re-charge whenever necessary!:):):)

Haha! Nice story!
Well, I am not really a cell phone addict. Actually, I don't really bring one everyday. So expect that I really don't have the means to communicate to other people unless we well talk in person.
Last friday my friend and I talked over the phone and set a meeting, and ofcourse I told her beforehand that I don't have a phone so we need to settle the things first before meeting up, and we we did settle the things in connection to our meeting. But unfortunately destiny did not allow us to meet. But I think if I have a cell phone that time, for sure there's no way that we will not see each other.
HAHA! But I still DON'T BRING my phone! HAHA!
Happy MyLotting!

aha! as i read your message' i conclude that you're not comfortable of bringing cell phone either you don't have a bag or you don't want a thing on your pocket, or you're not interested at all, well you had proved to yourself anyway that really a cell phone is useful, so it's your own preference whether to bring with you a cell phone or not, all i could say is if you feel inconvenient or uncomfortable to hand a cell phone,
@@@then let your cell phone carry your self@@@he he he! keep smiling here in mylot! and say oh mylot!

Hi zearah! the most unforgettable moment I had that made me realize how important my cell phone is was when I was in a cab. Then when I was about to go down the cab, and about to close the door, I saw that I left my phone on the seat!!!!!
So thank goodness, I hurriedly got my phone and was very thankful that I saw it!! Aside from the monetary value of our phones, I believe that the important parts of it are our contacts, and the messages we saved in that phone. Those can never be replaced. These days the cellphones are seen as a necessity. During its early bloom, it was just a fad but now, everyone needed it already. We have this thought that when we have it, we are always connected to the world. With just a few presses, we can be in contact with the persons close to us :)

yeah if you lost your cell phone, you'll lost connection to your business links, to your friends, to your relatives, and most especially to your family and loved-one. best worst is if you miss a thing in your mobile an email from mylots says you win a lot....(he he he)...of friends!
Good luck and have a nice day! smile and be happy here in mylot!:):):)
