i was talking to my ex about how he can't say no to our 6 year old daughter. the she starts climbing on him and he gets annoyed (two seconds after the conversation) he says to her do you do this to mom all the time too. i said no cause i know how to say no. so he turned to her and said no. she looks up so fast and says what. just the way she said it was adorable like i've never heard you say that before. so i said there point proven she is shoked you just said no she's never heard that before from you.
had to be there kind of thing i guess

I am 'boss' in my home. My toddler son is going through the 'terrible twos' at the moment. Sometimes others can't get him to go in his buggy. I am a teacher and so I know how to use tone of voice for a good affect. My son does what I wish him to.
I know a child at my son's playgroup and his mother says that she isn't able to the the "no" or her little boy won't stop crying. Therefore she says saying like "that isn't allowed" and "Please don't do that". I think that you little girls response "what" was excellent.
