Thinking of a change of career - childminding WITH MY HUBBY as a couple...

We are seriously short of cash at the moment - as is everyone I KNOW! So I have been wracking my brains for a while. My hubby is a HGV driver which is gradually taking its toll on him. He is beginning to resent his job even though he has been doing it since he was 21 (he's 35 now).
So, he is away at least 3 nights each week, barely sees the kids, barely gets any work done on the house (because he does 12 - 15 hour days). However he is great with kids and I love kids. We have 2 beautiful boys of 2 and 3 and because of health complications I have, we have decided we probably won't have any more (though I'd love loads more).
Today I came up with a bright idea of working as a couple offering childminding services. We're in the UK and there are really tight guidelines such as each registered childminder can care for 6 kids at any one time but only 3 can be under 5 and one of those 3 can be under 1. You take your own kids into consideration of the numbers. But because there would be two of us we would double those numbers. We could be earning £600 - £700 per week!! I have spoken to our local authority and the regulating bodies and they are currently funding training so it wouldn't cost to train. Plus there is a shortage of minders in the area so I could be onto something
I know I would send my kids to a childminding couple and currently send them to a mother and daughter team when I work. What do you think? Would you send your kids to a husband and wife team?

I don't know anything about this but it certainly sounds like a good idea. Good luck to you both.
