Did your parents raise you right?

I do believe my parents reared myself and my sister up in the way we needed to be. They made mistakes, most notably my dad. But he did what he could. He was under a lot of pressure to make a living, and he had so many responsibilities. But they both gave us moral values, a strong spirit, and showed us how to take personal responsibility for our actions.

Yes, my parents did a pretty good job of raising me although I didn't appreciate some of it while I was growing up. I'm the oldest of four and both of my parents worked so I learned to be responsible early. There were expectations that had to be met, no excuses allowed, and that has helped me throughout my life as I worked towards achieving my goals. They also taught me to accept people for who they are, that the only person I can change is myself. They taught me that prejudice is ugly, that there is always room for compassion and caring, that a smile and a kind word costs nothing but the rewards can be great.

I think my mother did a pretty good job of raising me with good morals. She taught me to consider other people's feelings, and not to do anything to anyone if I wouldn't want someone to do it to me. We weren't very wealthy, but we weren't too poor either. She always made sure there was food in the cupboards, even though we still had to ask before we could get anything to eat. And I also believe, that she taught me to do well with my money. I have made a few mistakes here and there, but altogether I think I am doing pretty good for myself. I believe that is because of the way that she raised me.

My mom did an awesome job raising me, naturally, i rebelled at times and did what I wanted to do just to say i did them, suffered the consequences, but all in all Good stuff MOM!

I do really think that my parents raised me right..i was taught to be considerate with others and discipline in myself...i dont say any bad words..its not really my culture to say them..if i ever say them, i think my conscience will hunt me all day long..lol..that was exaggerating..well, yeah i thank my parents raised me right even though i experienced lots of whips and slashes just for them to discipline me..
