I don't geddit. I know what is going on because yeah I watch the news, and read the papers but why talk about it so much? The big guys are ultimately gonna do what they want anyway so why waste brain space and time talking about it.
Also - I find there is a lot more interest in the States than there is in the UK. I have a number of friends living over the water and they all say so and end up inadvertantly taking an interest too.
So why all the interest? Why not go with the flow? Do you take an interest?

I think their is so much interest in discussing politics on mylot because it are almost guaranteed to get a response. It allows you to relieve your frustrations and get paid, although very little, to do it. Many people are having these conversations anyway.

Hi hairypits, I think we talk politics a lot because it helps get our frustrations out. Things here in the U.S. are spiralling down the toilet, and it helps to communicate our angst with others who are just as aggravated. You are right about the big guys doing what they want, and they sure are. They're stepping all over our Constitution. Talking about the fiasco in our government helps us to "go with the flow" as you said. Cheerio!

Yes i am not so interested in politics me too..such as if things will be positive so will change if a determinated party or politician will win so may be this can have a sense but seing that many things did not change and may b never change in society this can be considerd also a waste of time!!
So i think this cna eb a topic of dicussion here as many others..i know me too people really like or involved in the policy topics..so i think they like to know and share their opinion from some actual facts concerning policy,politicians...
