natural disasters

I live in an area where we have cyclones but fortunatley they are not very frequent though we do have a couple of cyclone watches each year.Also we have a lot of flooding during the wet season.
Where i used to live there was always the threat of bush fires during the summer and last summer was the worst bushfires .
Do you live in an area where there is natural disasters or are you like so many and are luck enough to live where these are very few and far between.
If like me you live in such an area why do you stay there, for myself and my family it is because we live in paradise and could not imagine living anywhere else.

Well, I live in Idaho. We have had afew good earthquakes. Haven't for several years. But I am close enough to the mega area in Yellowstone that it could make a person pretty nervous. When it happens most of the US will be gone. Scarey stuff. Guess I should pay more attention. Might have something coming in the other direction as well. Haha
