Hi, everybody, Mermaid here.
Frankly speaking, I have always been dreaming of going to America for study and diverse experience since I entered univeristy; however, my dad's words yesterday just made me realize how selfish when I made this decision.
He said:"when I was young, I seldom miss you when you are not at home, but when I am growing older and older, I can not live a day without your being around. I saw your bed, and thought ‘it's not a bed at all, but several pieces of wood’. What if you settle there and never come back? What if your mom and I quarreled? Will you stay in America? I hope you not."
When he said these words, I almost bursted into tears. I hold it. I love them, and I try my best to understand their feelings, but I still have to go. Isn't it good if I study well. find a good job and earn enough money to raise them?
How about you? Do you care about their feelings?
