Recession - Has it really touched India ?

Recession is the word commonly used by the Companies / firms to do away with lethargic Employees... BUT the basic query is - Has the word really played havoc with the Economy or the companies prospects the way these people represent it ? Initially to attract the best brain they paid twice the amount to hire them, now they want to downplay their efforts and flush out all the non-performing members - This is the ploy ! I await your opinion and would like to add more to the above discussion. The reason for this discussion is because I like many others feel very strongly about this especially those who have been victim of this syndrome.
