New York City Trip

My girlfriend and I are heading on a trip from Nova Scotia, Canada to New York City, USA. The drive will take us 14 hours and we're leaving Monday afternoon. We will stay until Sunday evening sometime at which point we'll drive home. We're going to see a Yankees game, check out a musical, hop on some tours around the city, see Radio City Music Hall. Does anybody else know of anything we should do while we're there? Who has been to New York City? Does anybody live there? We're going to try to camp along the way. We love camping. We might even buy a new puppy on the way back to Canada.
