Used vs Loved

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 yr old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man took the child's hand and hit it many times; not realizing he was using a wrench. At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw his father.....with painful eyes he asked, 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?' The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times. Devastated by his own actions....... sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches; the child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'. The next day that man committed suicide. . .. Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely life..... Things are to be used and people are to be loved, But the problem in today's world is that, People are used and things are loved... During the day, be careful to keep this thought in mind: Things are to be used, but People are to be loved ... Be yourself....This is the only day we HAVE. Have a nice day Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits they become character; Watch your character; it becomes your destiny. Stay FAITHFUL and Be GRATEFUL

thanks for posting this. i've read this article so many times and yet whenever i come across this article, i can't helped but be thankful to the original author. it always served as a reminder for us to love the people we have in our life and not the things that we thought were valuable to us.

It is a good reminder and the funny thing is that it came to me after sending an email to a friend that I am getting very angry with since the last couple of days. After receiving it I begin to wonder if this was a message from the father telling me to take things slow.

Wow that's one that brings you back down to earth with a bump. I had a really crappy day with my 2 and 3 year old throwing tantrums and doing things they shouldn't and was on the verge of losing it til I read this. Now I'm looking at my 3 year old asleep on the couch next to me and my 2 year old grinning at me walking across the room in my shoes. I love them more than life x

Yes children are the best and sometimes it takes moment like these for us to realized the treasures that we have in our lives. To appreciate the things no matter how sad they sometimes comes across is better than to be angry and do what we should not do. I am guilty of this and right now I know that what I did before receiving this mail will be coming to back to me.

That was a powerful story, a reminder of how something so small can become life changing.. Wow, to think something like that could happen, but it does each and every day.. Our children are trying to do something special for us so show their love, and all we can see is the mess or destruction that had taken place.. People we really need to stop and smell the roses before they turn.. And its too late.. Thank you for sharing this story, it is a good reminder that anger can really make things worst then what they really are.. God Bless and have a nice day

God bless you too. This came as a reminder to me and it came just as I send an email to the guy I have fallen in love with but is not understanding what is happening right now. It is like God use this email to remained me to be faithful and grateful because there were a lot of thoughts coming inside my head since his strange action. But after reading this email I started rethinking and now I am just giving myself sometime of observation to see what to do next. Thanks for your response.

Fantastic love story between dad and son. I like this story very much. As you said Love and anger have no limits. Anger will destroy love. Love will remove anger. Both of them are opposite to each other. But they are powerful and should be controlled.

Yes they are two powerful emotions one that when is over emphasized will be abused the other when used is always hurtful to the one receiving it. Thank you for your response.

Well, unless you provide a link to a news article or some proof of the story. I am almost 100 percent sure it's a fake.

This is not about being a reality it is about looking at the story and take whatever lesson is there for one to learn from.

Ive read the story too and it made me cry. What things you can do when youre angry especially if you cant control your temper and you end up hurting the ones you love. Most of then time, when youre really mad, you do things and cant be taken back. This story taught me to be mroe patient with my son because he is just a kid, a lot of things to learn in life and we are there to teach him whats right and what wrong. I admit there are times that i really get mad at him but theres this moment that i sometimes just shut myself off before i can hurt him badly. Thanks for posting the story!

this is a poignant story. this story speaks about the real emotions. life is too short and we must realise that people are to be loved and cared for. anyways i read this story earlier on internet and loved it.. but it has an essence that i read it again and felt the same as i felt earlier.

It was send to me by a friend that I have not hear from for the longest time and at the bottom it says that I should spread the word. I don't have enough friends and so I said that here would be a better way to spread it seeing there this is a large forum. The message is deep and I know that I have learnt from it.

Hi, Thanks for sharing such meanning full story with us. I'm moved. When anger come, we surely can't control our anger sometimes. But if we put ourselves in that person's shoes, we should ask ourselves," why is he/she doing this? Is she/he trying to tell me something? Did i ignore something?" Or ask ourselvies that what could we have done to pervent this happen? Like telling him up front that can not scartch the car?

I don't know if it happen in real life and I hope not but the lessons from this is so compelling that one has to look back on his/her life and make the necessary adjustments that this has pointed out. Sometimes it takes a little fiction for us to change the route that we are taking.

I am so sorry to hear that. And when I looked through the story, there is a strong painful in my heart. How pity it is!I always tell myself when I am going to do something,I should make sure that I will not regret about my determination. And I hope all of us keep love the most important thing in life. You don't know how lucky you are when you have love in your hands. But you also missing it easily.Do not forget think twice.

That's such a sad story, but the message is brought well-across. Actions done in a fit of anger can result in a whole load of regrets. I see another message within this story: The love of the child for his father. Even though his father caused him so much hurt, he did not treat him with fury, he still trusts his father to show concern and answer his queries. No matter how much your loved one has hurt you, you still feel that love for him. Lets be thankful for everything around us.
