I use LOL very often but never in real life. I don't *say* LOL. If it's worth laughing out loud about then it should be a unconscious decision to actually laugh out loud. I rarely use rofl and lmao even when chatting with friends. I think it's because I never had THAT experience in real life :P
Thanks for the response on my discussion :)

Well i am so very glad you started this discussion, i used to use "lol" quite frequently and "rofl" sometimes........but I came across this term "lmao" quite often here and I was wondering what that meant, but never actually tried to find that out........now since you have mentioned it, I am enlightened
Thanks for sharing, till date my favorite was lol, but now its "lmao"

I used to use lol and rofl a lot in chat.It has come to a point when I have even started saying lol while actually talking to a friend face to face or over the phone.Sometimes I use 'roflmao'(rolling on the floor, laughing my a** out). All these have become common words for me to express myself.lol...

I always prefer LOL...as it is the only real thing u can do while u chat...no one will rollon floors while in a chat, and lmao is not practically possible...So i stay true by an LOL..though i completely agree that it has been over-hyped these days
