hi.
im sandeep from india.
i notice that in our country education is extremely hyped.
i understand basic education is a necessity for everyone, bt here that is not enough, for a career it is almost a compulsion to have quite high academic qualifications, there are very very few other alternatives.
i have friends abroad who dropped out of college and still manage to get good jobs.
however, here, forget dropping out of college, even people with engineering degrees find it hard to get jobs[though this may b attributed to the lack of jobs].
bt the thing is if one chooses to drop out of college, it is almost impossible for that person to get a good job.
why is education the primary factor when it comes to employment??do you think its right to make education the primary factor for employment??
or are all jobs in india such that require high educational qualifications??

Hi, Sandeep.
I was asked once, "can you describe what's on the surfaces of the earth in one word?"
I answered, "Industry."
Now, i believe you have already understand this simple flow of supply and demands;
Industry, visibly and commonly formed as Companies.
Companies depends on professional human resourchess,
Professional human resourchess will be provided and supplied by Educational Institution.
So basically, the industry with the demands on what kind of products they will require and the institution will be supplying products according to the specs demanded.
That is my answer on "why is education is the primary factor for employment?"
For your question about, "it is right to make educations....?"
Try to put your self as an owner of a company that requires human resourchess as the main assets, wouldn't you be needing certain criteria for someone or peoples you'll hire or work with? wouldn't it be great if someone or something claims they can provide you with all the criteria you want on people because they have a system or know how to 'educate' people according to what you need?
I think not just in India, look at China, Indonesia, etc. And the answer for the third question is an absolute no, but in theory for strategic purposes, yes. I know several names in India who sits at what most indians have ever dream of and never went to higher educational levels.
But don't worry vast changing recently happened. The main issue now (for people like us) is not how to be apart in the industry by beeing hired by a company and have a decent jobs. Today, that will put us to an unsecured status. Because the wider space are for those who working on how to create our own space in the industry.
Regards.

thats exactly my point....
everyone has their strong points....
bt it seems only people who are strong with studies seem to be getting good jobs....
sum good sportmen get a good income, bt other than cricket and a couple more games there is very very little scope in our country.....
and there r lots of other skills a person can have, bt they may not necessarily have good education...
so it becomes hard for them to get good jobs, because there is barely any scope.....
isnt that like favouritism toward people who r good with books???

Hi Sandeep,
Funny, you have the same name as one of my India friends in real life. Nice to meet someone here that have the same name
I think education is important, becasue higher educated people are less chance to become a bad people or harmful people to the company. But working skill or profession skill is the same improtant as educations!

Basic education is to teach people how to distinguish between good or wrong, to help them gain the fundamental knowledge to make a living or to pursue higher goals, and to protect people from being criminal and even do harm to the society.
I know there are many factors other than education count in the process of finding a decent job. Education is sometimes a direct or obvious way to help companies select people from a large number of applications. Other factors like your personality or team spirit are just relatively harder form them to measure. Besides, in the world of technology or engineering, higher education and certain certificates do guarantee the qualifications of coming applicants.

Higher Education is very important in our each life.
We can have a nice job and great opportunity if we finished
any courses what we wanted to. Lucky are those who are not
yet finished schooling but have job but later on you will be
somewhat uneasy for that work because it is so heavy and disgusting.
Job is lighter than nothing you have not graduated.
It is the way to success, Whatever you wanna do it will be good
for you then.

Everyone wanted to have a degree or higher than that. Because we believed that the higher the education we attain the better life we can achieve. But, thats a lie. Doctors become nurses, Managers become care givers, Engineers become laborers, etc. In todays world, competition is everywhere. So, to be hired you have to have this so called "x-factor".

Higher education is the one things that can make the difference between you getting a certain job or whether someone else gets the job. Also they different types of degrees. The more education that you have the more you can get job wise. Also it may be the difference between low level jobs and being the boss of the lower level jobs. No matter what job you have, you have to have a little extra knowledge on how the business works.
