LOL Everytime I hear her name I cringe because she doesn't ever say anything that makes sense and here's another prime example: "I don't really like to think of it as a murder. It was terminating Tiller in the 203rd trimester." That is what Coulter had to say about Dr. Tiller. And for the life of me I don't understand why it is murder when it is a fetus but when it is an adult it's not considered murder. Anyone have any ideas???

Personally I just consider her to be terribly amusing. She's a complete loon, but she does occasionally make good points. I think this was one of them. She was saying that abortion is murder, so if we just call it the 203rd trimester, than it's just another "late term abortion" of a viable human being which is precisely what Tiller was famous for and made millions doing. I don't think she's condoning or justifying the murder, but rather putting it into the same terms Democrats use to justify the murder of a completely viable child.

It almost makes sense from her perspective, but Tiller was not terminated by his mother. Her statement works as a joke but not as adequate logical comparison that advances the dialogue in any helpful way.

I completely love to read how conservative bytch about these same sorts of comments being said by liberals yet when one of their own does it, it's completely acceptable. Simply amazing.

I have never heard a word out of her mouth that I thought was even remotely correct. As a matter of fact I don't think I have ever heard a possitive word out of her mouth (besides I have to go now). If she thinks that what Mr. Tiller did was murder then why didn't she spend her own money to CHANGE THE LAW. This is a subject that she just loves, it allows her to get attention (which is the most important thing in her life), and feed the base (this would be you TASKR) with a sad attempt to deminish a human life. I don't think that Bush knew that high oil prices would destroy the economy, but IT DID. She knows exactly what she is doing, and you defend her just show how she works. If you want to ban partical birth abortion then get the votes, and do it. That is how a democracy works, and if you have a problem with it than I am sure you can find a dicatatorship in the world that has banned it.

Ummmm I don't like her( ithink she is crazy!) but I think she was trying to make light of it.. Not funny under and circumstances... She was referencing the fact that the dorctor performed abortions (I don't agree with those either but that's a discussion for another day) I think she was using this sarcastic and tasteless comment to say it is murder either way! Regardless she is tasteless and tacky and the republican party needs to seriously examine her mental stability! She is not a good example of republican thought! She is the perfect example of a insane assylum candidate!

Well, I was appalled by her before.. her comments on the 9/11 widows was completely unneccessary! As a republican myself, I can see she is freakin crazy! I don't like her representing the republican thought because I don't feel the things she says are a very good representation of what the republican party stands for! Regardless the woman needs some help.. She's got a little crazy on her face! PLus she really needs to drop that little black cocktail dress! Its out of date and looks awful!

That was her sad attampt at taking what she considers to be the rationalizations of an abortionist, and twisting them around. She's such an idiot!!! She's trying to justify her stance on abortion by saying 'if he can kill our babies, we can kill him' When I ate an egg for breakfast the other day, I ate a chicken abortion! Is she going to want to kill me too?

You're comparing a chicken fetus to a human being?! Your logic is messed up.

Coulter makes money by saying stupid and inflammatory things, and people either eat it up and agree with her, or they complain about how offensive she is. One way or another, she makes money. Stupid people should just be shunned. Coulter is one of those stupid people.

She really makes me sick but so does the double standards, of conservatives complaining about liberal drawing attention to an issue but shall we all bow becauses Coulter said something that drew attention to an issue in the worst way.

Um... she was being sarcastic. The point was that murder is murder, regardless of age. What is a fetus? It's a baby human. That's all that it is. Coulter was not saying that murder is ok. She was saying if you support murdering baby humans, why not adult humans? If murdering humans is ok, we should be consistent with that view. If murdering humans is wrong, we should be consistent with that view. But we need to be adults, and make a choice as to which view to follow, and be consistent with it.

She's the worst waste of human flesh there is, or a definite contender at least! Whenever I hear or see anyone actually say they "like" her I could barf...lol! She's never done a thing in her life for anyone but herself yet she's some kind of authority on the "moral" conservative way? She wrote a book entitled "Godless", if I'm not mistaken and she's spoken of forcing Christianity on other nations but what the hell does she know about "Christianity"? I'm sure Jesus would frown on the things she's said about innocent people. The fact is, if she thought she'd make more money and get more attention by moving to the other side she'd do so in a heartbeat. But, WE DON'T WANT HER, do we Zeph? Annie

Actually it's the other way around...ppl consider it murder when you kill another person but it's not murder to do what Tiller was doing and murdering full term babies. Maybe his was just simply a "late term" abortion. I don't condone murder regardless of who does it but some ppl seem to think it's alright in some cases. It was sarcasm. She was applying Dr. Tiller's views on abortion to him as if he were merely an overly mature fetus being allowed to die on a hospital table, as he had done many times to other viable fetuses.

I like Ann Coulter. So sue me. I don't think I could care any less that Tiller was shot. He murdered many, many babies who were viable; he did late term abortions. If these babies would have been born premature they would have survived. They were not just blobs of cells. If these pregnancies were ended during the committing of a crime, the perpetrator would be charged with murder. But because these children were not "wanted" it's alright to end their lives.

"But because these children were not "wanted" it's alright to end their lives." You DO realize it's illegal to perform a late term abortion simply for that reason, don't you? Annie

I can compare a police officer being shot and killed saying it doesn't matter they knew when they took the job they could be killed so it's their own ignorance. Whether or not I agree with someone or not, I would not want to see them killed/murdered. I didn't like Reagan and his politics but I never said, This is great that someone shot him.

As I'm sure you already know, she was being sarcastic. If any of the "fetuses" whose life Tiller ended in whatever trimester were not called murder, why should terminating Tiller's life in the 203rd trimester be called a murder? Of course in every cases they were all murders.

I think she was just trying to be sarcastic. The pro-abortionists like Tiller don't consider abortion as murder, so she was saying the same thing about him that he would say about all the millions of aborted babies.

Of course. This is pretty typical for her. I remember when she said she supported waterboarding and the person she was talking to asked her if she wanted to be waterboarded. She replied with "Would you like to be aborted?" She makes jokes like that to put things into perspective for her opponents.

As much as I hate the host of the Daily Show he summed it up great, he said something like do we commit rape to prevent murder? And since you all who like to call all of us the pro-abortionists, would you really like it if we called you all the pro-overpopulationist? Or how about pro-welfareists?

If you called "us" pro-overpopulationists or pro-welfareists, the only person who is going to look bad is you. I cannot believe you could say such despicable thing in good conscience. I think you just lost the moral high ground from which you feel entitled to criticize Ann Coulter.

I think it was murder, just like abortions are murder. I think she was just making a point, I doubt she was serious that it was not murder.

HAHAHAHAHA - I just sat here and read every single comment made to this discussion. Why am I laughing? Y'ALL ARE SAYING THE SAME THING!! Hahahahahahahaha!!! Goodness gracious people, arguing for argument's sake huh? Good one. (I'm sure you'll try and start another one with my comment. As it's ALMOST irrelevant to this discussion but I digress.)
