Do you think you will get bored with cooking somedays?

Cooking has been a passion for me since as long as I can remember. Trying out new recipes, trying to something new out of the leftovers has always attracted me. Yes, there are days when I feel just a bit down, and not feel like cooking. And more often than not, it is because of any ill health than anything. otherwise, I love cooking. It is very rare that I get bored with cooking.

I used to love cooking but, now, unless I'm really in the mood to cook, I find it a necessary chore. If I was on my own I'd probably live on salads, soups and jacket potatoes

Hello mermaidivy, I don't like cooking but since I got married, I started to cook by myself. I am the only one who do everything in the house including cooking. I cook religiously every day and sometimes during weekends too. Sometimes, I get bored of not knowing what to cook. I just feel blank and I feel like I have cooked the same menu over and over again within just few days. My husband can eat whatever you cook for him as long as it is not too spicy or too hot.

I don't think I will. I like cooking e ven though I am not a good cook. I like to take cooking recipies from internet and try it out during weekends. Some of them will be a flop, some will come out very well. Cooking is a part of women's life and I don't think any women will get bored of it. I will be lazy to cook sometimes and order food from resturants, but it doesn't mean I am bored of cooking.

i like to cook but i m sure i will get bored with it somedays. If u cook on weekend that is a good things which can relax our tense and can share it with your family and ur friends. However,on the other hands, for me,cook on weekdays would kill me. Because you have to buy the ingredtiant, wash it, chop it,cook it and eat it.Afer i stuff myself, there is so much work to finish,such as clean the kithchen, wash the dishes. Gee, i dont have much energy when i get home. although i like to cook(honestly) Therefore, i am afraied i will get tired of it somedays.

One great point you raise here is the good eaters it is very important part of your cooking that you must have food lovers and they know the taste and especially admire the food you cook.

I love cooking…its more like a hobby to me rather than a chore. Well, we all have to cook something or the other daily but like you, I love surfing thru the net for a variety of recipes. Its not that I can try them all out, but its fun nonetheless when I can complete a new dish. Even in my daily cooking, I am always thinking of ways to do something different even in the most bland curries and gravies. Till now, I have not become bored and I do hope I never will.

Don't know if I can say I'm bored with cooking or that I am bored cooking the same things over again. Meat other than pork has gotten so high at the store, you end up buying that and hamburger. I am always looking for some new recipe on the internet, something different.Seen one person reply that he didn't like doing the dishes after cooking, I wash mine as I go along and there really isn't any thing to clean up except the plates we eat off of. I enjoy going out and eating where someone waits on me for a change. Here my hubby does a lot of the cooking. I think it is because he is bored with not much to do. Hubby leaves and goes back home for a few months each year and that leaves me alone, so I eat salads and Tv dinners and sandwiches, but then I get the feeling for a good chicken and noodles or fried chicken and mashed potatoes. We can change the way a recipe is done so the boredom should not be there for us every day. And then face it there are some that just don't like to cook at all.

never. especially with the way people cook these days, the variety of dishes that can be experimented on and the wide array of ingredients available in the market. cooking is a worthy pursuit. it's not just a hobby now, it's a profession. i won't get tired of cooking because i love to eat and i love to feed my family with dishes that i personally prepared.

Hi Mermaidivy, In one of mylot friend's discussion, there is a funny survey that if you can only choose one thing to do your whole life, what will it be? There are cooking, waching dishes, cleaning the floor, throwing away the trash. I picked waching dishes!LOL.. because i think it makes me feel good to see the dirty dishes become clean and shine. I think i will get bored with cooking someday as i am lazy.lol

i will never get bored with cooking. for ne' its alaways a different experience. i'm not really into recipes or measuring, so each dish i cook turns out differently. though of course i have dishes i can make exactly as i made them before. cooking is like my life, it could be an adventure, or the usual routine.

I love cooking and serving my family with great,different types of food.But sometimes i feel like not cooking...so my hubby comes to my rescue.he will do the cooking and i will do the eating.it will make me free refreshed and energetic and happy and before u know it...i am back in the kitchen...cooking.

Being a SAHM , i am also the one who does all the cooking, and that tooo for thaose fuzzy eaters kids. The main trouble i have doing cooking is mostly im out of ideas, what to cook?? My both kids have different atste buds, which makes it even more difficult. And hence sometimes i really get fed up cooking. So now atleast once a week we go out ating, n once atleast my hubby manages, instant noodles, jam bread n something like that.. :), so as i have a break..

Cooking is one of the boring work for me. As i hate the hot whether inside the kitchen. Normally i dont cook only due to that reason. Sometime when i have to cook something i feel bored very soon.

I do like to cook and have been the main cook in my house most of the time. Health issues mean my husband is cooking more. I do get bored sometimes because I seem to be cooking the same thing and can't seem to think of something different to cook that everyone will like.

I love cooking. I don't get bored cooking but sometimes I am just not really in the mood. Sometimes I like to take the night off or I might have a craving to eat something from a restaurant that I really can't make at home. I learned to cook when I got married which was almost 20 years ago. I enjoy cooking and I am always looking for new recipes and dinner ideas. I just recently perfected making lasagna and making chicken cutlets and chicken parmesan. I am always trying to improve the meals I make at home. I will never get bored with cooking because I loved to cook. It really fascinates me when I heard people commenting on my delicious recipes. Cooking is my one way of combating stress and tension.lol!

If cooking is my passion then I would never get bored ^_~ unfortunately I can't cook, I'd love to learn though but I think that "cooking" hates me. hahaha ^_~

I know I won't.I am very much interested in cooking.i love eating!I would like to learn how to cook and bake.it is also a good opportunity to earn extra money or start a business.I know i won't get bored in it.

I do love cooking but if i'm stressed out i do not prefer to cook as i would end up messing up the whole recipe. If i feel bored of cooking i eat out or order some food home for a change.
