OMG!! My Cat Screamer is such a mess sometimes; She just keeps me in stitches some days!!
Earlier she had come into the front room here and I was of course sitting here on my computer she loves to play with a stupid Q~TIP of all things, anyway now you have to picture this in your mind, or imagine your own cat doing this ok? She has the silly Q~Tip and is flipping it all over the floor and chasing it like crazy, carrying it around and my house shoes are sitting here beside me well she takes the Q~Tip and puts it inside one of my house shoes, and now she has her face stuffed
all the way inside my house shoe trying to get a hold of her silly toy, and I got to laughing at her antics and I thought Oh God she has her face shoved in there so far if she gets that shoe stuck on her head I'm gonna laugh so hard and maybe fall out of my chair here, well she got it shoved up there pretty tight but she got it pulled right back out too... ROTFL!!!
I would have given anything to have had my camera handy here to take a photo of this, but the darn thing eats batteries and when I'm finished I always take the batteries out of it until I'm ready to use it again so I didn't get the shot but OH MY GOD...
I was laughing at her like crazy!
She just kept doing this over and over, she'd shove the Q`Tip in there, and she'd pull it out, over and over she did this today;
Crazy Cat! LOLOL!!
Does your cat do silly things like this to make us, ( their Mommy ) laugh like a looney bird here all alone?? Phew!!!
Good thing I'm on oxygen cause sometimes I get to laughing so hard Mommy can't breathe...LOL!!!

For some reason my cats love to smell of shoes, inside and outside they like to sharpen their claws on them. I could just see your cat in my imagination when you were describing their antics. I was save 12 oz jice cans for a project one time and I had a young cat go sniffing inside and get his head stuck in one. My hubby at two different times, removed a milk bottle from a skunk's head.

The skunk incidents were when he was a child, but he is a very calm and soothing guy and the skunks did not spray him. He also "rescued" a skunk that got trapped in an atrium area at the preschool where I worked.

Morning Gerty: Right what is it about our shoes that so fascinates cats?
when my one niece comes over she loves her sandals or her stinky feet I'm not sure
which she likes more..LOL!!
On noo that poor cat LOL!!
ROTFL!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWW!!! a SKUNK got its head stuck in milk bottles??
What a brave husband you have...LOL!! OMG!! STINKY I bet he was just STINKY
wasn't he?? Thankfully that never happened on our farm when I was growing up
I'm surprised it didn't but thankful, one of my Brothers or Father would have just shot the poor creature instead of help it out, Yep that would have been their solution to that problem, totally heartless!!!

My cat can be funny sometimes. They funniest thing he ever did was find a hot dog on the floor and bring it out to me and he dropped it next me meowing. I dont know if he was trying to tell me he wanted a piece of it or he was just letting me know it was there, either way it was pretty funny.

HI snowy: Now that is a funny story about the hot dog ROTFL!!
Mine would have taken a tiny bite of it, and then tried to bury it showing her disapproval of it being left on the floor...Or found in your case...LOL!!
Cats are so funny aren't they??
I love them all dearly!!

That's kind of how Tiki is with straws. you don't dare leave a drink with a straw around because sure as your back is turned, she'll be cocking her head sideways, opening her mouth, getting hold of that straw and pulling it out of your cup!!! And, it doesn't phase her in the least if the cup tips over in the process (or falls off the table or whatever). The newest thing she does is to lick the sweat off the outside of the cup. Weirdo!!!

Hey Jerz!! Yeah Screamer has always been like that too with STraws, she is insane about it, I mean you have to let her have the straw EVEN before you are done otherwise she is up in your face her paw/leg wrapped around your hand/arm holding the drink with the straw and her ME-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWIIINNGGG she wants that straw!!
Screamer will lick the outside of your shake cup but not any others, she has to have some of the ice cream of course before she plays with the straw..she is a bit spoiled you know...LOL!
Her and Tiki would make quite a pair wouldn't they? LOL!!

Sounds like it. If Tiki didn't intimidate her out of the room. Steve catsat Tiki while we were in Cape Cod. Tiki wouldn't let his cat come out of his dad's room the entire four days she was there. They had to lock Tiki up so Martini could get food and go potty. She's a bossy little bizitch!!

We also have cats in our house and they do a lot of screaming every night, and when they're hungry - and they're always hungry. Sometimes we leave them at my sister's so she could take care of them.

Oooh, yuck, I can just imagine a mouse in a shoe. Gross. I know, cats are like that. Mine bring me sacrifices all of the time. Birds, rabbits, squirrels. I do not get to see the mice, they get eaten. I think I had a mole once as well.

HI Gerty; LOL! Yeah Sacrifices that's a good word for that...Minx my old momma cat used to bring me all sorts of um "sacrifices", she caught tons of moles when I lived out in the country, I really do miss her, Minx was Screamer's mother, but screamer
doesn't get to go outside, she's an indoor kitty...so the poor baby has to play
with Q~Tips and other silly objects...LOL!!!

HI Katsalot: ( cool name )
Yeah if my old momma cat was still alive that would be so true with her, she was quite the hunter in her day;
Now Screamer she has chased mice before but never caught one or ate one that I know of...LOL!!
When I lived out in the country of course those buggars would get inside the house in the wintertime, I never had to set a trap though between the three cats the mouse was bound to die one way or another or escape back out..LOL!!

I love to watch our kitty playing. Cats have such interesting personalities. Our kitty Jarath likes to sleep on the top step and sometime when you want by her she will roll over and fall down to the next step. My granddaughter keeps buying her those plastic balls but she doesn't like to play with them. She goes for those big pony tail holders. she will carry it around in her mouth and hides them under the rugs. she also like to play with those seals from cardboard juice boxes. She also very nosey. If someone is eating she has to find out what it is but wont take the bite offered her. she can give some looks that could kill.

HI deebomb; Yes I agree each cat is so different with their own looks, tastes, dislikes, and most of those personalities with the best facial expressions ..LOL!!
That's funny that your cat likes the pony tail holder's I swear my Screamer is also a cleptomaniac (sp)?? if she can pick it up its hers, no matter what it is or how shiny or not shiny if she has an interest in it, SHE WILL TAKE IT and HIDE IT!!!
I always know when she has taken an object with her body the way she runs and her body is arched "funny" and her old fluffy tail is all curled up like HA HA HA
I've just taken your pen or whatever and now its all mine, mine mine!! ROTFL!!!
we gotta love our babies right??

Hai it was nice and enjoyable to read about your screamer's crazy work. My cat papa has funny way of sleeping. Everyday she wants one new place to sleep. When we search for her we will not find her in the normal places. One day she was sleeping in he wash basin. Another day she was sleeping inside a plastic cover in which some old clothes were kept. She made way in that bag by pulling the cloths this side that side and we did not know about it. One day on the corner under the table she was sleeping and some covers were there and we could not see her. Another day I kept the cupboard open and forgot to close. She was promptly inside that cupboard. When we were frantically searching for her, I saw the cupboard open, went to close it and there she peeps in with a meaw sound.

HI Buchi_Bulla; Loved the photo of Papa, how cute is that??? I'm going to do a friend request so I can also leave a comment on the photo:
Your cat sounds so much like my Screamer, she loves to go inside cubbards, ref.door
freezer door, anything you open up she is there like LIGHTNING...
Cats are so funny at the places they choose to sleep in mostly Screamer is always
right with me, no matter what room I am in, she is there right now she is curled up asleep here beside me on my messy kitchen table curled up to the left of my keyboard
every once in awhile I have to move her tail off my keyboard or one of her back feet
LOL!!
she's a mess!!
Sometimes LIke you I might leave something open and get side tracked, then come back later on shut the door, and then have a cat missing then I will have to call her name and she will "scream" for me to come let her out...LOL!!
gotta love our babies though right??

Morgana often does things that are just so funny. Her most recent one was yesterday when she sat all adorable looking and was letting my brothers g/f pet her and then suddenly nipped her...she'd had enough. What was so funny was she just continued to sit there looking adorable like she was daring her to pet her again LOL

HI Twoey: I love your cats name I think I mentioned one other time that your cat's name is close to the spelling of one of my nicknames a lot of my internet friends
call me Morganna, I spell mine with two N's and you spell your kitty's with the one
(n) COOL!!!
That is funny that your Morgana nipped your brother girlfriend...LOL!!
Cats do that a lot and I bet she did look adorable too!!!
Screamer loves to be pet and loved, and belly scratched by me most of all and a few friends but when she is done with it she will really NIP/BITE the person and or scratch them with her hind legs like LET GO OF ME, STOP IT!! LOLOLOL!!!

Is that why you called her "Screamer" because she makes you scream with laughter and reach out for that oxygen? :) I have two cats, and yes, they are the funniest animals around..always doing nutty things. They chew newspapers up, throw paperweights to the floor, knock the mouse off the table, shed their hair all over the laptop, and bring all sorts of gifts for me. I love them; they add a lot of life to the house. And now with a baby around, everything is just a scream here. LOL!!
Cheers and happy Mylotting

:) Since both cats have BIG claws, they have been strictly forbidden to touch the baby. Regarding the baby, they are as good as gold. When the baby was just a month or two old and was screaming in his crib, Kitty would peep in at him; but she never touched him with her claws. The baby is now six months old and he is developing a strong interest in them. I have a feeling all three are going to be great friends.
Cheers!

HI Positive; My goodness its been six months already?? I just can't seem to keep up with everyone but where does the time go too??
Do you have any photo's of your baby? I'd love to see them I'll have to try and check your profile to see if you have any photo's there if this stupid friggin
dial up would just cooperate, it keeps freezing up on me here at mylot...of course it could be mylot too, being too busy who knows?
I'm sure the two cats and the baby will get along splendidly there might be some
boo boo's along the way but that happens;
