I had to take my dog to the vets tonight as i noticed that she was due to come on heat and that her bach end did not look normal.Well was i shocked to find that she had a prolapsed womb. The vet did say it may go back,as long as she did not get it infected and that she has to stay away from my other two dogs. The vet also said that i could put some lube on it and try to perswade it to go in again with my hand, why didnt the vet try that rather than her ask me to try after all she has the experience not me? Has anyone had a labrador with this problem?

My vet told me that the best option for my dog is to get her fixed. I have a 4 year old pit bull full breed red nose. She was born with an outty instead of an inny, so she has to get fixed because getting pregnant can kill her. I don't know if your dog has the same condition or not, but you can get your dog checked for another opinion.
