okay, so many of you know that michael jackson died. which is sad, but that has over taken the most biggest news of the day and that is farrah fawcett dying. So tell me if you will which one do you remember growing up in your childhood. My mom said that she grew up watching charlies angels every single week and that was like the life back then. if you didn't watch you didn't know what every one was talking about. I grew up watching Jackson 5 and the whole jackson family. So my question to you is which one made the most impact in your life as a kid. i mean come on we all watched one or the other depending on our age. so i know you have some kind of answer. i'd love to see what you think.

It is indeed a sad day for everyone who grew up watching Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. In my own account, I grew up listening to Michael Jackson. Sad that he passed away only a year before he can ever go back to public life. I've heard he planned a world tour to return to limelight, but there it is now. Michael, despite his scandalous life, serves as inspiration to many, whether old, young, gay or straight. It doesn't matter what personal life he lead, but more so on the message he brought with his music. His music is more powerful than the man, and that's for sure. Even if he didn't go out with a bang like Heath Ledger, he still has left us to enjoy his early years. So let's remember him not as lawyers, gossipers, and reporters see him, but rather remember him for his music. At least give him that one single respect, a last one I know he truly requests.

I agree with you about the music and just about everything. I really think that some people just listened to what the media had to say instead of the truth. They have officially opened up an investigation in Robbery and homicide department. Now I know they say that it was just precautionary measures but there's got to be some reasoning behind it. They usually just don't open a homicide case just because of a famous person. you know i think it will be a sad day in history altogether. I think i've watched his family movie on him growing up more than i did grease or dirty dancing. I was just at awe at how such a little boy could make such a powerful voice.

growing up alot of the time without a television set really didn't help but we always had a radio..so I grew up listening to Michael Jackson and liking his songs so I would have to say that even for his faults he is who inspired me most.To dance, to sing, to enjoy music.

Yeah just the other day I was watching Hannah Montana with my little sister and she sings before her show comes on and she had a pink glove on..I think it is great that someone will continue it on..

I was getting chills when I read your comment. I remember watching thriller and you know it took me til just the other day to sit and watch the whole video and it hit me why i didn't remember the rest of the song. When I seen those eyes when the mummy's came up that was all it took for me. I was mesmerized. If you take a moment and think about it and I didn't till the other day. Hannah Montana reinvented wearing a glove on one hand. Where would she get the idea from? Michael Jackson. The Jonas Brothers videos remind me a lot of the michael jackson videos with the way they dress and sing.

They are both famous celebrities but I know Michael Jackson more. I've listened to the Christmas songs sung by Jackson 5 when I was a kid and watched him physically transformed.

I've listened to thriller more than any of them. It's like the all time song in my eyes. i think that was the song that changed the video making way of life so to speak.

I don't really remember either in my childhood. I grew up in the 90's, and neither of those individuals were really popular - so I can't really say I grew up or idolized either of them. I guess I KNOW more about Michael Jackson, so, I'd have to pick him over Farah Fawcett, because I really just don't know anything about her. Either way, it's definitely sad.
