it was a shock not only to us but of course to the whole world. he is the king of pop and a very good musician. from childhood up to now peoplw from different generations knows who is michael jackson. no matter what genre of song you enjoy listening, i know one has a favorite song of michael. i like i just can't stop loving you.

There is no surprising that MJ was a human and when fate summons Monarch must obey and Mj was not a Monarch. All have the same way to follow the only difference is that you and I might not get this publicity when we say our adieu to the mortal world.

Yes I missed MJ in my life . It's because he is my idol in pop singing skills. He's talents is so awesome and the whole world know it. I will not forgot his doings and specially the music he imparted to the people. I'm not focusing on his personal life but the music he shared to the people what I make him remember his life . He is so wonderful inspite of his personal changes.

Well I think it is a sad day for music, while his personality is a little weird he is pure genius in music. The person that brought us heal the world, man in the mirror, we are the world and many many more. Lets hope that we would remember for the genius that he was, and not the sandals that surround him in the latter part of his life. Rest well Micheal, we would miss a genius like you.

it was a true shock to me. i heard it as soon as i woke up from bed, early in the morning at 6.00 am (local time) . it is really dissapointing. the king of pop is gone. i was never a fan of his but still i used to like certain songs like thriller, beat it and few others. i'm sure nobody can replace him again in the coming years. let's just pray for his soul to rest in peace.

Hi youless! Yes, we're all in shock about this! I was a fan of his back in the '80s but I haven't been in the past few years. He's going to be missed by a lot of people! I remember when he was little and sang with his brothers, The Jackson Five. He was so cute, then! I also remember the white glove and when he passed through Birmingham. I didn't get to see him because I live about an hour away from Birmingham. When I had my bookstore from 1984 to 1986, he was very popular back then. His picture was on a lot of the magazines we carried. A lot of young kids really liked him. Kathy.

Wow! News travels around the wolrd fast. I was at the coffee shop when it happened. i got home about an hour later, and found omeone else's discussion on MyLot. then my husband, who had been infront of the computer all day, confirmed it. Then some other boards I was on started talking about it, and it was on the BBC news channel on TV. Wow, news travels fast.
