Business or Job? What do you prefer?

Hi cybersoft01,well this is really an interesting discussion to respond to.Well,I am a student now and probably service will be the ultimate option for me at the end of my studies.But,I come from a family of businessman and one day I intend to shift to business.It is always better to earn for yourself other than earning for others.

Sometimes I prefer business and sometimes I prefer job...and even sometimes I prefer both...but it's time which will decide everything.

I have wanted my own business my whole life and as the years went by while I was working under the thumb of others my desire just grew stronger. For 20 years I worked under my own company but was still really working for others as a freelancer so I still wasn't satisfied. Then one day I was just sick of it all and decided I would stop working for others so I quit my day job and started building web sites for clients. Well that soon became just another job even though I was working in my home and had a nice little office. I was still working for those I build web sites for. I then stopped web design for others and now I have 30 some blogs where I make my living. It only took me about 40 years to get it right but now I am on the path the I think I will stay on. Less stress is good and I have more time for gardening and fishing.

I prefer having my own business too. i want to have a business at farming because people can never stop eating. I'm working and I don't like not to have or make my own decision.

Tell me about it. I'm just not that good with taking orders at all. I think a business is great for me. which is why I started online business to try and get some income going. I'm hoping to save enough money to open a restaurant in a year or two. I cant stand working for other people. everyday is a mission.

For now, I will stick with my 8-5pm job until I am able to save some extra money for investments in businesses that will allow me to have passive income to sustain my lifestyle. If those are stable and generates enough income for me, then I will focus on managing those businesses because in my honest opinion, it is very rewarding if you will be able to have your own successful corporation, win or lose, you only have yourself to blame since it is your own business.

At present, I am an employee in a private company...however, when i already have enough money, of course, i want to have my own business. though, i can still have both...I can be an employee and at the same time have my own business.
