Who is Your Favorite Author and Why?

I love to read but these days, I haven't been able to read, even during my free time. My all-time favorite authors are Mitch Albom and Paulo Coelho. While I enjoy reading fictional and historical novels, I love moving, real stories that touch the heart.I admire authors that can unleash a thousand emotions from me. That's how I measure their effectiveness as a storyteller. How about you? Do you enjoy reading? Who is(are) your favorite author(s)? Why them?
