Have you ever got CHICKENPOX?

I got it when I was 7 years old and recently my child also got it at the same age. What a coincidence.

I've been reading a lot of posts about chickenpox going around in India. Don't they give you the chickenpox vaccine there? In the U.S. they give it to all kids, and offer it to young adults if they have never had a definite case of chickenpox.

Nope never had them and I'm 45 now so probably not likely to. All my friends had it when I was at school, my brother and sister both had it, my daughter had it when she was a child and I never got it so I guess I must be naturally resistant to the virus. Either that or maybe I got it so mildly no-one noticed!

I had the chickenpox as a baby, from what my mom tells me it was an aweful experience..I don't remember though :)

Yea, I had chickenpox when I was 6 right around the time my brother was born. I had to stay with my grandparents so my bro wouldn't get it. He's STILL never got it. It's definately more dangerous in adults. You might want to visit a doctor.

I had chicken pox when I was in school. Don't remember much of it but for the disinfectant smell and one scar left behind on my chest.

Lol aw, I'm sorry! I'm pretty sure I've never had chicken pox... though it would be better to have it when you're little because you develop an immunity to it when you get it, and some illnesses are much more serious when you're older.

when i was in 8 standard

I am 31 years old and ahve never had them or the mumpls or the measles. I was around a girl when I was about 16-17 who had them but didn't know she was geting them. Everyone in the class had had them except me and I think one of the teachers. People were worried about me because I had never had them and it's worse when you are older. Her and I had also been lab partners for the few days before she new she had them. I didn't get them so i figure by now I never will.

I took care of the chicken pox when I was in Grade 1. The earlier, the better I suppose.
