Oh, that's so sad for your daughter. How old is she? Old enough to understand that they didn't call her? I just can't imagine this happening and I would be very disturbed by this, bad enough one side, but both? Awful.

I'm so sorry. I was hoping she was just too little to realize. Maybe you should just call them to find out "Why?" they didn't call and explain your feelings. You might feel better.

I'be sad also but maybe they forgot about it. Why not give them a call and inform them that your daughter would had been very happy to hear from them on her birthday.

This is really sad. I feel really sorry for your daughter. Although I can understand how she feels, as my paternal grandmother has called me on my birthday for the last 5 or 6 years or so, at least. But it doesn't really matter to me, as I'm not really close to my father's side of the family. But my point is I understand how she feels and I feel really sorry for your daughter. I hope that she still had some fun on her birthday, despite all of this.

I feel a lot of sadness...
If I think to my grandparents, it's not possible that they forget my birthday!
Here in Italy, grandparents usually love a lot their grandchildren!!!
