I recently wrote a discussion in which I said BoB Marley was the gretest artist ever and this was in keeping with him being given the artist of the century status by Bbc.
What do you think and please justify your answer not because of his death which is bound to rise him to immortal iconic status

There is no such thing as greatest ever, whomever you think is the greatest , another will disagree. Whom you think is the greatest says more about the person saying it than the artist. for many Michael Jackson was the King and for others ,,who were alive to remember, Elvis was King. And the others would say Frank Sinatra. So I always say he was One of the greatest. That way you respect what happened before And leave room for the next huge star.

The answer says more about the person who answers the question than the artist.By your answer you reveal your age and favorite type of music, art, movie or sport.

Hello my friend ronnyb Ji,
WEll, I am not much known to both, to justify myself, I have to do some research work and compare both. So I need some time. God bless You and have a great time.

I think he was one of the best entertainers in my lifetime, next to Elvis Presley. His talent was extremely remarkable. Unfortunately, he had personal issues which compounded over the years with all the acqusations of his Never Never Land property. Other issues with constant plastic surgery too were strange. His was a nice looking little boy, teenager and adult. All that surgery wasn't necessary, in my opinion. He is now resting in peace.

I do not think he was the greatest ever even though some people may disagree with me on that. I think Elvis was the greatest ever just because he was so popular in the music industry.

Dear friend,
I could see Michael Jackson as one among those greatest people. It is really uniques and rare to get talented people like this and they is no doubt they will famous and morevoer the talent Michael Jackson has is one of those unique and really with no doubts to be admired. As an artist I would see him as a legent and personal life I would not like to comment as the truth is really unkonw to me. I feel Michael is one among those greatest people.

There will always be a greatest for a particular generation/culture. Very few people have had the international success/impact that Michael Jackson has had. Very few people have been raised their entire lives in the spotlight than Michael Jackson has. Michael Jackson is probably the greatest performer of his generation. Elvis was the greatest performer of his generation. Frank Sinatra was the greatest performer of his generation. Each has different gifts. Each presents their talents differently. All are loved by the people who cherish the gift of music that they have provided.

Got the point. I liked some of his songs, but not all. We have to accept that tastes differ. I like a lot more other singers. Jim Reeves for one.

As an entertainer, he was. Music, dance and other aspects of today's life changed radically because of his innovation. His personal life is very much beside the point.

Seperating his life on stage and life of stage, Michael Jackson was a fantastic singer and dancer. He was a real entertainer. Of his time, he was the greatest. I think it would be hard for any entertainer to come close to Michael.
It is what he did off stage that brings him down. All the surgery he had. His appearence had changed so much. If he had kept his natural look but do small changes just to keep a youthful appearence would have been better than the big changes he made. And there was the court cases and what he did with his children.
If I could wipe away the bad things, then he would have been the greatest. For me to say this is pretty big considering I am not a fan of Michael. I never was, even though I did admire his entertaining talent on stage.
Rest in peace Michael.
