I am deeply saddened at the news of the death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. I could hardly even sleep last night as I continued to ask myself, is Michael Jackson really gone. He was an ICON in life and he will be a great movement in death. He has touched the world in ways people really never stop to consider, they knew he was big but the man was larger than life. I remember as a child when my parents would be out and my older brothers and sister and I would practice Michael Jackson dance moves on a saturday evening in our home in rural Jamaica. I am deeply saddened by his death and I believe for many his death is a personal loss too. Farewell my friend, may your family and friend and fans find courage and peace in this time of our bereavement.

What saddens me about the situation was that he was about to do a tour, and I was really hoping to see him in concert. Watching the news last night, they ran a report of people going to the music stores (we have a few vinyl shops here in Denver) and buying up everything they could from him. The man is not even cold in the ground, and the auction vultures are circling around grabbing the loot. I can imagine a lot of people are planning on selling their Jackson records at this point. I won't.
