What do you do with your extra coupons?

I get four papers just for the coupons and I am left with a lot of extras. I found this artice about a lady who clips her coupons and sends them over seas to military families to save money.

Has anyone ever sent their coupons to the military? What do you do with your extra coupons?

I don't buy newpapers anymore. Coupons are pretty useless here as there really isn't a good double coupon program at the stores here nor can they beat the prices @ Aldi's.
But I would like to suggest if you have other couponing friends I've heard of people doing "coupon trains" or "round robins". I had thought about doing this if the coupons would be of use in my area but they are not.

I have heard that Aldis has great prices but there isnt one any where near us. I have never even found one when I was traveling. I heard about them on TV and how great the prices were. I could use a store like that around here.

I have never heard of anything like that. I wonder if they really can use them.

I'm not so sure if that would be worth it... not sure if they could use the coupons I have (doubt they have electronics stores there) and I'm thinking postage would cost more than the coupons were worth.
I give my extra coupons to a local hairdresser. I cut my own hair, but my family takes the coupons in because she will give them away to people who want them.

When I have high value coupons I take them to the grocery store or Wal mart and put them on the shelf with the items! I used to take tape and actually tape the coupon to a product but was asked by a store manager not to do that, just to lay them by the product. I have had many people to catch me doing it and thank me profusely for the coupons! The way that I see it is that someone should get the use of the coupon!

I have recently heard about sending the coupons to the military too. I think that I will probably start doing that. I have not done it yet so I can't comment on it. But right now sadly I just end up throwing away the ones I don't use. Or if I know that someone I know uses certain products I will save them for them. Otherwise I throw them out to keep my home from getting cluttered. But I am going to start sending them to military families.

I have never done it yet either. Right now we just send the old and the extra to the recycling bin. I feel wastefull because I know that there is someone who can use them but I dont need them and I dont want to waste gas or money tracking people down and mailing coupons.

This is a good idea. Thanks for posting! I let my sister-in-law and cousin go through my extra coupons. Then I take them to church. We have a coupon swap box that everyone can share coupons from.
