Is so easy for people who mother tongue is English to be more popular here...

Yeah, you are right. i am not good at english too. So everyday i can just reply about 10 topics. maybe it is not easy for us to earn money quickly through mylot, but we can practise our poor english here,right?

Hi Marianna, it's not a matter of having English as mother tongue or second language. My mother tongue is Mandarin, and I think in Chinese language rather than English language. However, I can answer discussion and express clearly enough and quick enough. It's a matter of practice. You just have to use English more, read more, and write more.

And there is no better way to learn English than by using it. MyLot is giving you an opportunity to practice and learn English and pay you for it. I don't understand how you can be jealous about being paid for a learning opportunity. Practice and you will get better.

Take your time and you need not hurry in learning how to respond in english. Like everyone's saying - practice makes perfect. As long as the thought is there, they can understand you. There are about thousands of topics in here and I don't think any one of us have ever replied on each of them. Its okay to be slow yet learning. :-)

Don't be jealous. Think of this site as a learning tool. The more you indulge yourself on this site, the more you will learn. English is not my mother language but it is our second language. And yes, the confident you are to converse in English, the better you can post and participate in every discussion here on Mylot. But you have to persevere. It takes practice and patience. You will surely benefit from being here on Mylot. Your English language will improve in no time. Just don't get intimidated by people who are posting their topics here. Post away any topic you would like to talk about. Besides, you already have answered 143 so it is a good start. Keep it up

you are right.. i m also like you, take a lot of time to express it in my own way to make others understand. i have loads of things on my mind to express and interact bu i can't express it that well. and some discussions are way too hard to understand, i read it like 3 or 3 times to understand.. i wish i was good in writing and expressing my thoughts. i would be responding for 100 discussions for the time i spend here. i type fast, but the thoughts wont come with the flow.. i really spend the whole day, but i hardly post 5 to 10 comments. i feel language is not a barrier here, we will be able to make others understand what we are trying to say.. but the point is it takes a hell of time and some times we have to make 2 or 3 attempts to make them understand out point. dont worry.. you have the opportunity to improve your english here.. i learn new words, and phrases which i havent heard in my life before. first few months, try to explore a lot here, write down your thoughts. refer dictionary, keep reading the top level discussions tht has good english, reading english magazines and books also help to improve. im sure you can develop. if i can improve so can you, don't put yourself down. English is a language, its not tough to learn.. you are pretty good and definitely have the scope to improve. my advise to you is Dont ever give up. this is the best place to master your language. so dont lose hope. good luck dear!

Not really, it helps if you know English really well, but it does not make you popular. What makes you popular is what you know and what you have to say. No need to be jealous of anyone because you cannot speak perfect English, yet. There are some people on here, who's first language is English, and they do not fully know the language.

i can say that in INDIA whose mother tongue is english are not so easy for people to be more popular here as in greater percentage people spoke hindi and for english people it is not so easy to adjust with each other .as in todays world english language is also much impiorant if we want to interact with great personalities.

I agree. But through responding and reading to discussions, I believe I am heloing myself in improving. Just like you, English is not my first language. However, this is not a hindrance for me to continue learning.

Hi marianna45, Well my first language is certainly not English either.......but then I have started so many discussions out here which has features into the top discussions of the day so many times......Its been 2 months+ since I joined mylot, I made my payout last month and have almost reached my payout for this month.......so it all depends on how much of efforts we put in. If you have noticed people here on mylot are really very helpful no one would EVER complain that your English is bad or you missed out on some punctuations. they don't really care as long as your message is clear......why do you hide your thoughts let it out.....don't feel embarrassed about it, we all are learning and mistakes are bound to happen, jealousy will never let you do anything, learn from others, try to pick up words and phrases, check out how people frame their sentences and trust me in no time you too could write good English and can respond like others do....... I wish you learn and Earn a lot here on mylot..... God bless !!!!

Hey there! My mother tongue is not English either. But then I have learnt English since the time I was a 4 year old child.So I end up thinking in English and am not as fluent in my mother tongue. I just want to let you know that irrespective of your nationality and irrespective of whether a person can speak English well or not, it is a privileged to have friends from across the world on myLot. If you really want to improve your English,focus on how people interact, how they frame their sentences, things like that. It does not matter if a person's English is not excellent. We all learn. Keep doing what you are doing and you will do great!

You are right, it takes time for me to response to a discussion as well. Well it's hard for us to express ideas in English,but i really enjoy myself here because i think it's a good way for us to learn English and we get more from mylot than people form English-speaking country, we not only learn English but also earn extra money on mylot. on the other hand, earn $10 per month is a little for people from Occident, but that's not a small amount for us. Do you agree with me?

Yup, I agree with you. For those who speaks English as their first language, will not find difficulties in selecting the choice of words! On the other hand, for those practice English as their second or as third language, surely will face problem to express their discussion! I guess, reading while referring to a dictionery will help! What do you think?

All time i think on this...how much easyer is fro somebody who know English very well...can be great to understand all and to can answer very fast, i can imagine how much easyer can be if i can answer in my mother language...sometimes i am angry when i can t answer as i want
