Do you think people get married just because they afraid to be alone?

There are tons of reasons why people get married: pressure,money,etc... but I think the real reason is love. People usually get married for the obvious reason and most men only get married to make the girl happy. And he usually loves her but most men don't think it's nessesary to get married when they know they love each other. But the girls usually love all the glamour and I'm not married but I think I will want to get married some day. Like I said, we like the glamour!!!

Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who get married because they are afraid of being alone. I learned how to enjoy living alone, and then I when I finally did get married, it was because we were in love, not because we were scared to be alone. I think everyone should live alone for a while first, before deciding to get married.

It really does depend on the people involved. Some people do not want to be a lone..I don't think anyone really does. There are so many things that could be factors in deciding to marry that it's hard to give one reason.

I think some would definitely admit that. But there are some also that have another reason. So it is safe to say that there are more deep reasons why people wants to get married. Happy MyLotting!

People get married with a desire to share their life. Be it happiness or sorrow, We need someone to share it. Another reason is to fulfill the needs and dreams.

I think that there are many different reasons as to why people get married. I couldn't tell you why a specific couple was getting married though, but I guess I coul guess it. I think that the reasons are for loneliness, yes, but more then anythigng I think it has to do with love. I think that a person who is in love with another wants to marry, and they marry. I think that commitment has a lot to do with it, religion can have something to do with it too.

People marry for many reasons - love, money, companionship, peer and society pressure and so on. Your topic reminded me of an acquaintance. He was already in his fifties and living alone (a bachelor all the while). He finally decided to get married, because he was worried that if he should fall sick or have a heart attack, there would be no one to take care of him. Well, he did get himself a wife shortly after that.

I think people get married sometimes for the sake of getting married.You get people who get married as they are pregnant and that it is better to get married for the child,you have other people who get married as they want to be like their friends as all their friend are married and they do not want to be the odd one out and like you say there are people who get married so they are not left on the shelf.
