Hey my name Siddharth means "One who seeks knowledge" in sanskrit. My parent gave me the name. They were really influenced by the teachings of Buddha and Siddharth was another name for Buddha

Wow! That's such an interesting name. I don't think i've ever heard that one before! What is Sanskrit? is that a language? or a culture? what country is that from? Your name sounds very holy and enlightening!

wow, that is so sad to hear! Why don't people, start to speak it again and revive the language?

People still speak. But they are few in number so the language can't be brought back to the mainstream

Well,I have two names:Patricia,I was named after my aunt Patricia, the sister of my dad and I´ve heard things like the meaning of Patricia is "noble" or "aristocrat" and my another name is Jacaranda (don´t laugh),like a common tree in my country who gives purple flowers in spring, and my grandma was who gave me that name, because she loves the flowers and the plants..hehe

Jacaranda's are beautiful! so it's not a bad name i guess. We have them in here in my country as well. Your name flows well, Patricia Jacranda. I hate names that don't flow like, Jack john, or Paul peter. It just doesn't go. Lovely name tho! It's very unique indeed!
Thanks for sharing, Happy mylotting!

There appear to be several different interpretations of the meaning of my name, although most refer to the old gaelic words.
One of the more popular meanings is "fair haired", although that does not really apply to me. Another meaning is "beautiful", which is certainly not appropriate for me.

Haha so what country does your name originate from? were you named after someone? I'm guessing your mother must have liked that name. If you mum didn't know your were going to be a boy, do you know what your name would be if you were a girl?

Hi under_0ath7 nice discussion you have here..
Well how my mom made up my name was a long story.. Cecille Carmela is my real name. The name Cecille came from the patron saint of musicians St. Cecilia on which her feast day falls on my birthday (Nov 22.) Carmela was named after a churh where my mom used to pray when I was still in her womb. The church name was Our Lady of Mount Carmen. Carmen means garden.. she named me after religious names because it is believed that when a child is named after a saint or a church, he/she will grow into a good person. I don't think so hehehe, but one thing I know about the history of my name is that my mom wants the best for me, she expects me to be a good person that's why I should live up to that expectation.
