Do you think you are so smart that you deserve more than what you are?

Most of us evaluate ourselves and have some scores about how well a person we are. And then, there are times that we see people who are not as smart as us but they are having a much better job, better family, better future, etc. So, what do you think? Do you think that you are actually so smart than others have thought and that you deserve more than what you are having now? What do you feel if you have such thoughts?

First you will have to define 'smart'. What is smart?.. all the aspect you're asking are individuals.. they can not be generated.. smart, better.. and they'll need others evaluation... But to response to your questions as what i think you were asking.. to deserve more is not just about smart, you know that, too many aspects to describe here.. as i said above, it's individual and to become succeed in this world of sociality you will have to adjust and adapt.. you can not be smart on your own evaluations, you'll need to be smart by others evaluation, and, in this world, by beeing smart only but not needed, not wanted, not usefull, not dependable, can not giving, can not share, can not used, etc.. one can not achieve better than anyone else.

Thanks for your reply. I am awfully sorry that I haven't given a definition for "smart".... nor "deserve".... nor "better".... nor "evaluate". And considering you find that my discussion is so problematic. I really deeply appreciate you have given us so much to think about even though I still don't know whether you think you deserve more than you are now. Maybe I have problem with my understand so I may have to apologize once more. Sorry.

oh.. now i must apologize if you keep saying sorry like that.. he-he Ok, so i think i'll answer more directly according to your questions; No, i do not feel i deserve better that anyone else regarding my smartness level, because in what i have understand is that what i achieving now is exactly what i am now.. if i achieve 4 out of 10, than that is exactly where's my smartness level at. Everybody are smarter on something and smartless on something, but everybody can adjust that.. and everything has their own kind of smartness... so i can not be just this one kind of smart and reach maximum achieving on everything. I have to be smart on everything to do that. Regards..

No..I never feel that way. I just don't compare myself to others on that scale. There is always going to be someone that is doing better than me for whatever reason...maybe they are more educated...maybe they are better than me at what they do...maybe they just landed a better paying job then I did with the same skills or maybe even lesser. I feel that I make choices in my life and what happens is a result of those choices and if the result isn't good then maybe I have to figure out why. I look within and not around me.

Thanks for your reply. I do agree that it is more important to look into our own self for seeing the reason why we are here in the current position. But then, I sometimes have to ask is it really I am so dumb that when others with much less ability than me is getting so much better position than I am... I know thinking it that way is not good but just can't help comparing to others.

I sometimes feel that I deserve much more than what I am right now. I had been in good position to climb the lader of success in life but I had somehow not taken that advantage and then I have been struggling to get what I deserve. But it has not been my fortune to get to what I really deserve. I find some of my jounior co-workers whom I had trained in much better position. It is not jelousy for my but it is infact something encouraging thing for me that if they can reach to that level, I too can get much better than them. For me life has been full of fights for my progress but it seems that the fight is not still over. But I am not worried about it. I am extremely fortunate to get the support of my friends and family for doing better and better things in my life.

Thanks for your reply. I also try to transform the feeling of jealousy to others getting more than me into a pushing force for me to do even better. But then there are times where I will question myself is it really matter to do better or is it something is actually missing in me that caused me not climbing for more.

I know that I am an intelligent person, but I feel that I only deserve what I really work for. I do not look at those around me and become jealous or envious of what they have. I don't care if a person is as dumb as a box of rocks, if they are in a better position than I am, I am happy for them. I know many people who do sit around and envy others all the time and frankly, the only thing they are doing for themselves is making their own life harder. I would much rather work hard to reach my goals and then look back and say, "I worked hard to get where I am" than to spend my life feeling like I was dealt a bad hand. I don't carfe how wealthy a person is or how lucky they may seem, everybody has their own problems to deal with and I am willing to bet that some of their problems are worse than mine. Wealth and a good position in society does not always mean a better life.

Thanks for your reply. It really is good to ignore those who are getting lucky and just focused on we ourselves. But have you even encountered that you have already worked so hard but then all the glory goes to your colleagues/teammates who have done nothing at all?

It's maybe so shameful to say, but I believe I deserve more than what I have now. I am a good employee and I work really hard but I think I'm underpaid. I wanted to venture into business because I believe I have the knowledge to start my own, but I lack the financial resources to make it come true. It's not that I am overestimating myself. I just happen to see people (who are dumber than me) succeed in life. I know I am not perfect, but I just believe that I deserve better.

Thanks for your reply. I don't think it is a shame to think like that but more importantly how we are dealing with this thought. For me, I will think why I am lagging behind even I think I am smarter than others. Is it I am not working hard or is it due to other reasons? I do believe that everything is for a cause and t is up to us to find out the reason so we can overcome the problems and move forward.

Thanks for your reply. So, it seems you have quite a good life with things satisfactory enough. But then, do you think what you have done so far deserve what you have now? I mean would there be a moment that you will question yourself whether you really deserve to have so much better than others?

I always feel that i deserve better than i have but i always attribute it to the fact that i'm not working to the best of my ability. It motivates me to perform better the next time and to give my all to every new opportunity that comes my way

Thanks for your reply. I also will feel that maybe it is I haven't done enough to achieve what I deserve. Also, I will think that maybe I am just out of luck while others have the blessing of all.

Hello, In my opinion,it's normal that someone not as smart as you get much more than you. That is what we called unfair.haha~But if you are really much smarter than the others, you will get much more in the future.Your words worth nothing,do something blockbuster, something that's really big,to prove you are smart.

Thanks for your reply. I really doubt whether the smarter will end up getting more in the future. In fact, I have seen so many smart guys end up doing the low tier jobs for their life while those idiots are in the more important roles making stupid decisions day after day.
