How much time do you think one should sleep. I think 6-8 eight hours of sleep is necessary for anyone. And that too 2-3 hours of sound sleep with out any disturbance is very necessary.

sound sleep ?? what u mean by that? snoring?
i sleep for around 6 hours and thats enough for me..
and yes 6-8 hours is necessary for a person to rest..

lol "sound sleep" means 'appropriate' or 'right' or 'healthy sleep'

we should sleep for 7-8 hrs and there should not be any disturbance while sleeping.
we should relax our mind while sleeping so that we can get up with fresh mood and mind as every day is very special for us!

I normally try to sleep between 7 and 9 hours a night. If I can't sleep 7 hours, I really try not to sleep less than 6 hours, as I know that I can't function very well with less than this much sleep. It's just the way that I know my body functions with regards to sleep and such.

When i was single, i need to sleep around 6-7 hours, to feel refresh and healthy. After my son was borned until now, i am only able to sleep around 4-5 hours a day. But, i still feel refresh and healthy. Maybe, it depend on age and work schedule, so it's not neccesary to have the same sleeping hours anymore. I ever read from health article, when a person gets older, their sleeping hours need to be shorten so that they will stay alert..

yes i heard 8 hours is a good time for sleep. And it makes sense, since without sleep it can cause a stunted growth, lack of concentration or even weight gain or loss. I guess that's why God created day AND night!
