Mushrooming of educational institutions in India

Oflate from past 5 to 6 years we see an exponential growth in the number of enducatinal institutions and deemed universities in India expecially the medical,engg and management institutes. Many of them are already being given a deemed status which simply means they are free to select candidates, conduct exams and give degree certificates. In simple words we can say "Pay money and get a degree". This is causing lot of disparities in the education system and its obvious that the quality of education is compromised. What do you think can be done to crub these issues and bring back the quality in the education system of India
