Best places to visit in MI?

I'm a Michigan native and have traveled throughout the state, but there are certainly quite a few places (mostly on the eastern side of the state) that I have not visited.
So, what are some of the best places you've visited in Michigan? Have you ever been to the Upper Peninsula?

I go to the upper peninsula a couple times a year, and its probably my favorite place to be. A good scenic area is around waters, mi off of county road 38 by mancelona, the hills are so pretty over there...

We just returned from a 1000 mile motorcycle mini vacation to the UP. It was so beautiful! We were directed by locals to some falls that were off the beaten path. It was so cool! The Lake Superior State Park was awesome too! A great view of Michigan!

I lived in MI most of my life and spent 6 summers working on Mackinac Island. What an awesome place it is, I drove the horse carriage tours, I was a bell hop at the Grand Hotel, and much more. The UP is cool also, Sue Saint Marie, tehqulimin falls, The spelling is wrong,have trouble with the Indian names! LOL! And much more! If you go up there get some of the smoked fish it's great!
