Which color best defines you?

Different colors are often attributed different characteristics. Yellow, for example, is considered a happy and social color. Some people believe that each personality can be associated with a single color.
I personally think that the color indigo best defines me. What about you? The color that defines you may or may not be your favorite color. Is there some color you picture yourself as?
To help you answer these questions I will write down the different colors and some of their attributes.
*Blue - trust, calm, confidence, depression, coldness
*Green - intelligence, fertility, youth, jealousy, greed
*Red - passion, ambition, energy, anger, revolution
*Yellow - happiness, idealism, sociability, dishonesty, weakness
*Orange - enthusiams, creativity, balance, danger, arrogance
*Purple - wisdom, royalty, spirituality, pride, mourning
*Indigo - spirituality, intuition, intelligence, rebellion, sensitivity
*Brown - calm, steadfastness, friendliness, stubborness, poverty
*White - truth, innocence, purity, coldness, unimaginative
*Black - sophistication, mystery, elegance, sorrow, emptiness
*Gray - neutrality, humility, balance, dullness, pessimism

i just find that i am most comfortable in it and not for cosmetic purposes either, like for instance because it is slimming. i just like it, i always wear it, makes people think that i am a goth though. i am not, i am a steampunk if one must label me :)

So you are a calm but passionate idealist? Interesting! That sounds almost like my father. I like blue as well, and yellow is okay. For some reason I don't like the color red, though. I guess it's too intense for me, I prefer more cool and calm colors.

I like the hazy ones - blue like the clouds, violet like the petals of a flower and yellow like the sunflower. These colors relaxes me and soothes me.

Yes, I agree. Cool colors such as blues, purples and greens are very soothing. I think I've read somewhere that being around one of these colors actually can lower your blood pressure. Maybe it's because we think of soothing things. For example a blue sea or a summer sky, purple like many flowers, and green like the forest and vegetation.

Based from the characteristics associated with the colors you listed, I'd like to think that I'm an Indigo.

That makes us two! I think that indigo is a very lovely color as well. It's something between blue and purple. It's believed that people with an indigo aura (if you believe in auras that is!) are idealistic, sensitive and have a warrior spirit. They are rebels who enjoy freedom. They can have short temper and usually can feel other peoples motives.

black and white are actually shades, but for the purpose of this exercise my color is black.

Yes, I know. Or isn't it like white is all colors and black is no color at all? I think that's how it is, but since most people think of them as colors I decided to add them as well. I think that this it what makes both white and black so special, they're not colors at all.

I am Indigo Blue, with is my favorite color.I am a blue save the confidence. and I am a Indigo blue except for the spirituality.

Well based you your definitions I would say, I am a little bit of every colour at times. But, a color/personality comparison in my mind would be very culturally based, and would vary from region to region. I put the main personality types, you know the basic 4, into color coded categories. Phlegmatic=yellow-is a Open and indirect person. Sanguine=Blue-is a Open and Direct Person. Melancholy=Green-is a indirect and self contained person. Choleric=Red-is a Direct, and self contained person. Having an understanding of this has allowed me to talk to and understand people better. Two of the colors you have mentioned define my character. It is blue, showing coldness. I know that it is not good, but I can see that there is something in me that shows a bit of coldness with the people around. It is not something that I truly proud of but something I want to change. The second color is yellow showing idealism. I have always been idealist, always think of what is proper and what is better. I think it is good for it shows my being positive in life.

Being cold isn't necessarily bad. It can guard you from being hurt by other people or getting swallowed up by your own emotions. Interestingly, blue is the color most people prefer, perhaps that can say something about them? Perhaps the coldness is your way of expressing your pride of yourself? I feel like an idealist as well, I always ponder different alternatives to make sure I make the choice that is best for everyone. It's great that you're positive! Well, actually I don`t believe color can define a person fully. And my favourite color is green have the meaning of intelligence, fertility, youth, jealousy and greed. I`m so surprised to see that some of the words are suit me very well. Because of jealousy, I always work hard to surpass any one whose mark is higher than mine. Because of it, I ranked No1 and become a postgratuate student finally. So, you have convinced that color does have some meanings. Have a good day!

I love green color. My bag,toothbrush, pen & pencils, and many appliances are green but I don't think I am Intelligence at least in my mind. But I am agree about jealousy, and I think it is not good habit

Well, the intelligence part is quite tough. I believe that we're all intelligent in one way or another. Unfortunately, intelligence is hard to define, it means different things for everybody. I'm sure that you're intelligent as well, but maybe you haven't found your intelligence yet. I can be jealous as well, but thankfully not too much. I'm afraid I can be quite greedy, though.
