Both are optical instruments for viewing distant objects. I wonder what is the major difference between these two. Any idea? Please respond.

Binocular involes two eyes to view an object. But telesscope involves only single eye to view an object. Actually binocular is a kind of telescope. Im simple words binocular is equal to two telescope mounted together.

I know that, but is there a difference in the performance? I mean which one is more powerful? And which one do you prefer and why?

Who are interested in Astronomy, especially the beginners,
first, they can get a fantastic binocular for about Rs 3000 (around 65 US dollars).. they can try celestron 10X50 binocular...i tried them they are good..if you want to see saturn's ring you need to have something with minimum of 40 magnification.you'll need a small telescope..extend you budget to Rs 8000(170 US dollars)(which is not possible through binocular),you should find a decent telescope..
Have a nice time, Friend.. I had gave 2 in 1 Reply.
