do you think PTC sites are harmful to your PC?

I've been a member of some pretty good PTC sites tho i suddenly noticed that there are several pop-ups that are bad for my pc. My anti-virus seems to determine some threat that could harm my pc. So for you myLotters, do you jeopardize your computer just to get some little amount of earnings from those PTC sites? Share your thoughts about this.

I too have realized the same warnings from my anti virus. But i think that it shouldn't be a problem, since you are not installing any files to your PC, or downloading, but I may be wrong. Hope someone can shed some light.
