If one day your bank account has been accidentally credited a stash of money ($10,000) that do not belongs to you, what would you do? Would you just keep quiet and withdraw all that money to keep it elsewhere? or would you report this to the bank and have them make the correction?

Report it to the bank immediately.
If you don't report it, the banks WILL find out and they will make you pay all the money back from the credited amount if you withdraw it.
In some cases, you might be charge with stealing, and get a criminal record depends on which country.

Just for laughs... why in the world would I give it back? Banks do not make mistakes. If they do, they check it right away. The moment you withdraw, they will know if there had been an error. So, their mistake, not mine. I get to withdraw it, then it's legally mine. Hey, that's a blessing, ain't it. Somebody must have deposited in my favor, so the money is mine. HA HA HA I AM RICH! WEEEEEEEH!

hello rtslvtwy,
I think even I need money, it's just right to report to the bank that this amount was credited to my account. That I need to verify where it came from and upon knowing it, if it's not really from a family os someone I know then maybe I can withdraw taht amount and donate it to the charity. Better than the bank will get the money for they're already rich.

i will report it to the bank as soon as i get the transaction details. The transaction details will let me know whats going on. And i will try to ask the bank why it happens. In case that one friend just credited it as a gift then i would be very happy hahahaha. But that would be impossible unless they won the lottery.
After reporting it to the bank, i will just request a certificate that its already been debited and zero out for personal purposes. i dont want to face criminal charges against it.
Happy mylotting and smile always!

I would go to my bank and ask if this was legitimate before I would even think about it. Someone could be missing this and needed it to pay bills or pay a house mortgage so they don't loose their home. I couldn't just take it and run, wouldn't be right.

Hey,
Well this has actually happened to a few people, and it was on the news, and then the person took it out and bought a house and everything. But the sum of money was much bigger. Now they want the money back, so I think I would just tell the bank. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!
