Hi all, how many of you do shopping online. and if you do, which are the trusted websites to do so. Like i di shopping once via ebay, n it was good. Did paid via paypal , but still i'm a bit afraid to shop online.
From which sites to you shop, and do you find the product you get satisfactory(as we cant see n touch things, i doubt, how they will come out to be)

I am very leary of shoping on line too. I have a paypal account set up for just that reason.. when I want to buy I put my spending money in there and use that PP for buying online only and not mixed with my personal account so if there is a problem...it is very limited and can be fixed easier and quicker. I have a free checking account I do the same way for the places that don't take PayPal.
I have shopped at Amazon.com and have had very good experiences with that. And I have a few other places I have repeated business with. I shoo through a place that gives me points per dollar I spend and when I get to a cash out level of points, they pay me in cash or gift cards. It is great! I get paid for the shopping I have to do anyway. I just bought bras through this online site/company at Maidenform - they were $5 cheaper than in the stores plus I got 2 points for every dollar I spent.
But I am very careful and only use those 2 accounts for online shopping and so far, not a problem at all.

Yep that's what i feel , some goods are much cheaper when bought online(, as its cheaper for them too). I once ordered a bed frame online , but that was cash on delivery , so i felt ok and ordered, but the stuff i got was not as per my satisfaction. But as i ordered and they brought it to my house , so i kept it.

Nothing wrong with the items I bought... it is just that there was only one store that carried the size I needed and it went out of business (Mervyns) I'd always wait till they had their 40% off sale and go and try to "stock up" but they would always only have 1 or 2 in my size. SO the last time I bought from there before they closed.. I went, tried on to make sure of the size.. the wrote down the stocknumber and stuff from the tag of the 2 I bought and went online to the manufacture. There they were, not on sale, but since i needed more than 2 nad the sale was only 4 times a year it was easier to order online plus when I went through the shopping site and got the points to redeem for dollars.. it was perfect. Now.. I just went, ordered 4 and am done with it all and have 200 points to redeem, didn't have to deal with the crazy store and standing in line (Mervyns was famous for Long Lines) and got what I needed and don't have to deal with it again for at least 6 months instead of having to always check back to see if they have any in in my size.

I love shopping online. I have shopped in many websites already, including eBay. And I must say, I also have bad experiences. I posted a discussion here before, about a seller, who denied my payment. From there, I learned how important it is to communicate with your seller, and to pay through paypal as much as possible.
I still shop online... like almost weekly. I am a stay at home mom, and I spend most of my times online since I am not a fan of wathing TV. Being online gives me more options to shopping. I get to buy stuffs that are not only available in our country or city. It is fun too... the trill of waiting for your shipment to arrive is really something.

You're absolutely right about that bit.. of being scared about the price. that's one off part in online shopping. On my part, I don't mind, because, I don't have a lot of choices in our city. The malls here don't have the stuffd I'd love to buy. I only think of the shipment fee, as my taxi fare... because whether I shop online or to malls... I can't do away with these fees. With the prices... I always make sure that they are reasonable. Fellow mylotter Russo, is right about some online sellers or shops here, that increase the prices. In that case, I will have to think more wisely before buying from these shops.

Hi
I think you will like shopping at Amazon.com. You can find almost anything there and the prices are usually discount prices. You will see a large selection of what you're looking for from many different stores.
Amazon's service is fast and reliable. They won't charge you until the product is shipped.
You can also do tasks at MTurk.com and get the payments put in the same account you use to buy things at Amazon.
MTurk is affiliated with Amazon.
I also think Ebay is a pretty good place to shop.
There is another store I think is a good place to shop but you can see their products on Amazon and buy them through Amazon. That is Overstock.com. They have big discounts and shipping is $2.95.

There was only this one instance when I purchased an item online. It was a bikini from Spain that I saw in Multiply. It was a good deal because the bikini fit me perfectly. This was one purchase that I truly thought about.
I did find a great deal of convenience in online shopping, but there is always a part of me that worries about the item. You're absolutely right that shoppers can't touch it and we can't fit them too, especially if they're shoes or clothes. In situations like these, one just has to trust his or her instincts.
Nothing wrong with online shopping, but as a buyer, one must be more keen and more careful.

Oh that is true. If I find someone in Multiply who sells Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works items, I'd definitely go for it especially if the prices are good. That would really make my day - we don't have Bath & Body Works + Victoria's Secret here in my country so if I wanted something it's either I look for what I want in a PX Store or in online shops, though there are some malls that sell them too, but the mark-up is insane especially when you know how much these things really cost.
