Since the day Windows Vista entered the market, there has been a huge debate regarding which Operating System is better: Windows Vista or Windows XP. Having used Windows XP a lot, and Windows Vista a bit, I, personally prefer Windows XP. But that may just be because the PC on which I had used VIsta wasn't good enough to utilize the full potentials of Vista. What is your opinion? Which do you think is the better Operating System? Why?

Unix is the best memory management Operating System, there are many derivatives of Unix, Linux is the new kid on the block. Yes, because there are hardware who reads/writes from memory without causing an interruption except after they are finished thus not hindering the overall speed.

But what about software compatibility? From what I've heard Linux isn't very compatible wit most softwares.

i personally like vista more then xp.I presently use vista.i use my computer for entertainment and browsing purpose than for some works...hence i like vista.its not that i hate xp...my system hardware supports vista more conveniently so ididnt faced any problems till.vista excels in entertainment basis.they have rich graphics too.The aero theme is the best theme among all launched till now... if u love system for some entertainment purpose and u have good configurations as well, then u may prefer vista than any other.but in the case of professional look,xp seems to be the best.they have a vaery low compatibility issues than vista ans so u can use more older softwares hre in this platform.they are fast too... we can xpect more from upcoming windows 7.hope it will be good with less compactibility issues and less hardware requirement... thank u.

This will alsways be a debateable point since both operating systems have their own advantages and disadvantages. My personla preference would be for Windows XP, because it does not have the compatability problems of Windows Vista. However, as time passes the compatability issues will fade due to people having more modern hardware. Windows Vista still has several issues, but the new Windows 7 is set to be a excellent replacement and likely to be the best version to date.
