Since yesterday, I had been enjoying free internet connection. And I grab this once in a blue moon opportunity. I hope this will last long. If I am at the office, I connect to the internet using my computer. But on weekends, I have no chance to go online. Thanks for this free internet connection from my ISP and I can still use my time at home, getting moe productive. Pleas share your experiences. Thanks.

I have heard many people saying that but I never really know how to do. Can you please share how to do it my friend. I followed some steps I've read over the internet but it does not work. My son is using Globe and he is enjoying that free internet too. I am a Smart subscriber on the other hand.

First thing should be, your number is activated to gprs/mms/internet. You should call your mobile company, which is Smart. There are some companies that you have to send a text message, telling them you are going to activate your phones gprs/internet. Next, internet settings should be set or installed in your phone. Settings can be sent by your network or maybe requested from the mobile company's website, let's say Nokia or Samsung.
Everything should be set and activated, your sim/number and your phone.
Every network has its own setting, so if you a Sun sim, your phone should have settings for Sun.
Just let me know if this thing works or not.

Yes,I have a GPRS-enabled phone and almost everyday I use it to connect to the internet. My service provider charges 10paisa per 10kb and there's no monthly rental so its quite convenient for me.I need to check my mail every 2-3 hours which I can't do if I'm not at home and not using my pc so my mobile phone proves quite handy at such times to access the net.

i don't know how much is a paisa converted with our currency or with the dollar but i can see that it is bit cheaper rate than with the rates our isp should charging us. anyway, i still enjoys my internet with my phone and it still does great for me, checking mails and post on here.

Hello neildc!!!
No, I have never used the internet connection from my internet. Sometimes I wonder to do so, but I have not activated the GPRS system from my mobile. And I don't want to do it too. Because the connection through cell phone is expensive, it will drift away my balance very quickly. Here people use this facility for chatting, who don't have internet at their home. For chatting, it is pretty cheaper. But I wonder how fast they could type without getting irritating with those cell phones. This would be the great feature when we are out of home and somewhere where there is no internet. That's why I wonder to have it. But more than chatting, i like surfing. And for surfing it is expensive. I hope to activate and use this feature, when the service would be free like in your case. But for now, no to mobile internet connection in my case...
Happy mylotting...Enjoy the free internet...

Yeah, I use internet from my mobile phone when I am far from my pc. I use it to check email, chatting and read news.I connect it with GPRS. I installed opera mini in my mobile phone for browsing and mailing. For chatting I installed mobile messenger. Now I can connect to internet where ever I am.

I can connect to the internet from my phone but I choose not to because there is an additional charge for that service. I have internet at work and at home so there is no need to use my phone.

I could never attempt or want to try to access the internet by my mobile phone, the keys and screen are far too small and fiddly for me to use, and I just wouldn't have the patience, do you get a fast speed using your mobile phone? And what about using a mouse? That's is what I hate about laptops, no mouse. No I am too much of a technophobe as well as too lazy to discover more about using my phone for the internet, I only use my phone for texting mainly, occasionally a phone call or for taking pictures and that's it!

Hey,
No I do not use my mobile phone to connect to the Internet. This is because my Internet at home is much faster than any mobile phone would give me as the Internet connection speed, I don't really see the point of it. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

oh yes my friend, we can be less satisfied browsing with the tiny monitor of our cell phones. but what makes me satistied is the return of my hard work, doing it with my phone, if i am away with my desk. out of the office and doing stuff on mylot, with my phone, still earns some money over the weekend.

I guess you should get another phone with wider or bigger monitor. Just like mine, I got this very cheap because this is china made. But this is already 3G.

I use my phone at times to connect to the internet. Usually when I am out of town. I check my emails and sometimes use it to browse. But most of the time, I use my laptop considering that it is easier to manipulate and type. But when I am expecting something from my emails and it requires that I should check it right away, then I do use my phone.

I do not have internet access on my cell phone; it is only a prepaid tracfone and very busy.
If you are able to be more productive now, than having the connection is great! If you lose the connection, have you looked into how much it would cost you to have the connection all the tim? It may turn out to be more affordable than you realize.
In the meantime, enjopy your free connection and your increased productivity!
