Would you rather be overdressed or underdressed for an event?

I'm the T-shirts and jeans type of person. Therefore I don't really mind being under-dressed at all. However, it would be cool to wear smart and formal during an event or function.

I am a simple type of person and i don't like dressing up that much.. maybe, i would rather be underdressed than overdressed.. people who are overdressed can easily be noticed compared to people who are underdressed... =)

can i say halfway?.hehehe.. actually, dressing up is not my passion that much,though i want to design outfits but not for myself. I'm just a simple person, and i'm not confident after all. That's why i always stay simple, unless someone or a group of people expected me to dressed up higher than being simple. Anyway, Simplicity is also beauty as others said. :)
