i travelled a lot but it never happened with me. (figure cross). i think basially i'm very strong woman. i can be easily with the new places.
however if sickness really happened don't be panic. usually it's not very serious just to take care and have good rest.
to prevent from sickness when you travel to a new places, i think you better to do more search work on internet to know more information, then you can prepare everything before it happens.
i think read more travel blog is a good way to get information. to know what happened with another people when they travelled in the places you are planning to go, then you will have a big picture what will happen for travelers.

i don't get dizzy when we travel if that's what you mean, the problem with me when we travel is that i get a lot of stomach upset. I have a sensitive stomach and as much as possible i bring with me my own water. I've had episodes of diarrhea and my friends wouldn't know the reason, maybe sometimes it's not the water, maybe i get over excited? nonetheless, i bring medicine so that i can still enjoy the trip :)

I don't usually get sick when I travel but then I do get sick either before or after I travel. Is that kind of weird? I don't know why but I am okay with it since it would be hard if I get sick when I am traveling.Since the plan we have might be spoilt because of us getting sick.

I don;t know why, but I don't like travel. usually it will make my body weak and tired easily. I don't face that situations, maybe your hubby and baby shocked with a new weather improvement. But I notice when I'm travel with my parents, they always stop to go to the toilet and sometimes I found it ridiculous.

Thankfully it has never happened with me and I hope it does not because it ruins the fun of the whole trip. I love travelling so I am happy I don't get sick of it.
And ya if your fellow companion falls sick on a trip I know its not decent to leave that person and continue your tour but then you can't spoil your trip because of 1 person's illness but first make sure that person is not seriosuly ill and then take turns dat 1 more person should be with the one who is ill... and I am sure you'll enjoy your trip....:)

hello aweins,
Yap, we've experienced that when we go and visit our olds - both sides during the holidays. When the kids were still small and we don't have our car yet that time. It's really hard in our part commuting, waiting for the bus or van to be full and the weather was so hot. Plus the fact that there was not enough air made my daughter vomit and felt dizzy during that time. But we need to do this for it's a holiday, need to sacrificed. It's really hard. But now that we have a car, it's more comfortable.

I usually suffer motion sickness when I ride in boat. Most especially when the waver are quite strong. But there are times that I can withstand it and just feel okay. There are times that I really cannot tolerate such and I have to lay down until I arrived at the destination.

I travel quite often. The problem is that sometimes I do get sick too. Sometimes, I get dizzy when taking off on an airplane or landing. Sometimes, I feel like I want to vomit with all the turbulence. Sometimes, when I am also in another country, I get sick, like have a stomachache or sore throat. That is why I always bring an emergency medicine kit with me. I feel guilty when I get sick when traveling with others so I just stay at home and tell them to enjoy themselves and go out and see the sights. When the people I am traveling with get sick, I wait for their go signal to go out and tour the country/city so that I won't feel guilty. If they really can't handle their sickness, then I simply stay at the hotel with them and take care of them.

I'm sorry to hear about your family going through that and I can somewhat relate because when I travel my stomach usually gets tied in knots. I don't know why I love to travel, I suppose it's the adrenaline rushing, but I get nauseated or I just can't eat on the day of travel. Once I arrive at my destination, it usually takes me a day to recover.
