My friend said she saw a grey hair on me the other day,i don't mind,it probably sounds weird but i've been waiting for some grey hairs to appear,i'm 32 and some of my friends got their first grey hair in their early 20's.I don't understand why people don't want to age and grow old,and why they worry about it so much.I'm quite excited to have my first grey hair

No I am not afraid of getting older I am in my 60's. I do have some gray hair but it is not all gray yet. Tonight my husband and I went to the restaurant and one of his nephew was there he is about in his late 40's and he has more gray hair then I do. It makes me feel young when see people younger than me with more gray hair then me.

I do not mind getting older, but i do try to keep myself feeling young.I have teen age children and if my hair starts to go grey they think that is bad,so i colour it to hide as much of the grey as possible, that way they can not moan at me.Happy Mylotting

That's a double edged question for me. From the vanity point, no, not so much. I'm 51 and the gray has only been coming in real good over the last three years or so, more around my hairline. I use to be real blond-headed. As I've aged, my hair has darkened considerably. I want to get it subtlety lightened in such a away that it'll grow out and still look natural without covering the gray. I'm 51-years-old, I should have some gray hair. The only thing about getting older that really bothers me is noticing my body doesn't have the stamina it once did. I love to work in my yard, lifting, pushing, pulling, it didn't matter what the project, I could follow through without a wince. Now, when I squat down to do something, I am amazed at the effort it takes to get up again. I can't deal with the heat like I once did. Can't lose the weight I gain like I once did. Sometimes my own mortality makes me sad, then on the other side, I think it will be an awesome thing to leave this body and be in a new one in the presence of God (I'm Christian).

hi doormouse, I'm not too excited about getting gray, I have a couple gray hairs now. I'm not concerned with getting older; mostly I am very glad that I have gotten through some hard times in life, growing up was hard, and I never want to go back there.

I have quite a few friends that hate getting older. I am older and seem to not have that problem. When people look at me they seem to think I am still in my 30's! I think it is because I still have very long hair and my face has no line in my eyes or in my forehead. I got lucky that way. I am also able to stay awake very long hours and I am into all the stuff the younger people are and I just fit in.

Given the choice I'd rather go grey than bald!! I think people shouldn't try to hide their age. We should be proud of who we are and who we have become. Age and maturity should go hand in hand. Grow old gracefully....right?
