My jaw about dropped open when I read your discussion because I'm reading Spandau Phoenix by Greg Iles. The book is good and it caught my eye because it has to do with World War II even though it largely takes place during the '80s, I think. I found this book in the suspense/thriller section where you would find books by King, Koontz, Cussler, and so forth. I'd never heard of Iles. Is he new or has he always written in a different category? Anyway, I definitely want to check out his other books. The one I'm reading is really good. It gets a teeny bit slow in areas but I'm near the end of it and it's getting really good now. Maybe I will read The Footprints of God next.

Hi again!
I love Greg Iles and many other sci-fi thrillers. I haven't read that one yet, but it's in my stack of books to come!

Hi Pat -- Greg Iles is a good author! I need to pick up the book you mention. My family and I buy books we mutually like, and then exchange them. So they would love this, too. And yes, sci-fi that reflects reality is especially interesting...and scary at times! Thank you for the recommendation!
