New games - higher limits

In just a few days, casinos in the mountain gambling towns in Colorado will be allowed to stay open 24 hours. They will add roulette and craps to the existing poker, blackjack and slots. And the initial wager limit will be raised from $5 to $100. I'm not a craps or roulette player, but I'm glad they passed the law allowing the new games, higher limits, and 24/7 hours! I'm looking forward to my next visit. Like seeing a movie on opening weekend, I think I'll skip the craziness and wait awhile before my next trip to Black Hawk and Central City.

I remember when they opened up Cripple Creek. It was probably open a year when I first went there - in 1984 maybe??? They had slots and blackjack that I know of. They might have had more stuff, but that was really my first experience in a casino. It was funny because we had my son with us and he was not yet 2. As long as he didn't touch the machines they let the kids in, that was kinda funny. I guess when I get back there some day I'll head out and see how much it's changed!

These little mountain casinos are sure a different experience than AC and LV aren't they? I've only been to Cripple Creek once. We're in northern Colorado, so much closer to Black Hawk and Central City.

I lived in Colorado Springs, and I think Cripple Creek was the only place "close" for us. It's been so long (20+ years) that I don't remember a lot of it...
