Do you hide money in your house and you forgot where you hide it?

Hi!! I do this all the time. I hide the money so that I will have it's needed but then every time I forget about it. When I need the money I will remember that I hid some for just that reason but can never remember where I put it. :) I now decide on one location and make a note in my phone for just this reason. I haven't touched it at all (yet) and haven't needed to. My goal (if I don't have to use it) is to reach a certain amount and then use it to big myself something I have wanted in a long time...better yet use it to get rid of one of my bills. :) I always seem to find the money when I don't need it and then I spend it on stupid things that I don't need. Ya, I always did that. Sometimes is I purposely hide it and sometimes is I forgot where did I put it. However, usually these money will not be emergency. I will just keep it until one day, when I suddenly realized about the money, it will be kind of like a surprise, especially when I am financially tight.

i don't hide money and forget . i just put all my money in atm and in my pocket. i don't have much money. i usually maker sure that i remember all the money i have so i can' know if i lose money or money or not.

Yes i told have this scene in my life. I just hide some money and will not remember where i kept the money. Sometimes i dont even remember did i kept some money. But one fine day when i clean or search something else i get this hidden money.

Hahaha, it happens to me alot. I remember saving it for something really important and then I forget about it when it comes... and then out of the blue without the initiative of looking for it I found it, and I'm surprised to have a money on that day... its just crazy that I'm happy for it, when I'm the one who really put it there. hahaha.

I usually put some dibs in the drawer,and I would clean them in weekends,and every time,I find there are so much.I do not hide money.

Hi Yes we do it all of the time and we never find it until we are moving and packing up. I found 1,000 in a pair of socks..lol then in my mothers books she always puts her money, she never trusts banks to keep her money , so when she passed on it was like a new payday going through everything and finding all of the money. I still have 17 boxes to go through of my mothers and then some so we can only imagine what we will find.

Hi friend, I always get scolding from my mother because i also do the same thing as you do.Sometimes i keep the money in some strange place and i really forget about it and ask my parents again for me.I really forget the place and i myself think that they haven't give me money and when i ask they say we gave you some amount where is it? to my surprise i say i haven't got money.In this way i did almost 40 times i suppose.When i clean my room whenever i get time i would come across the money.hehehe which i feel sorry for them as i always scold in myself about it.hehehehe.Now to my surprise i saw your discussion and felt happy because they are so many people like me who do.lol. No it is not really hiding money and forgetting it. What happened to me is that I use on bag and of course I put my money in it. They I change and use other bags one after the other. Then when I again used that bag I saw some bills hidden in secret bag and I was so happy. Imagine I've totally forgotten that I placed those bills there!

Well marianna45, you can't remember when you put the money in the box, because it is not you who put the money in the box. It is me who did that and that's why the money belongs to me. Give it to me...haha lol..... I hope I took your life for some seconds... This rarely happens to me. Well if the money is big like 100 dollars, there is no chance that I forget it. I may forget about small money though. In fact, I have forgotten many many times. Sometimes, it is good to forget hehe...To forget means, we don't really cared about it and we don't really be sad for it. And we can only be full of surprise and happiness when we find the money unexpectedly. I hope you are really feeling great about finding the money is such a way... happy mylotting...

that always happens to me. I hide my money and forget about it after a while i remember and go look for it and can never find it :S

Well, i do sometime hide the money and i forgot where i put, but it's just the small amount of money. If the amount is big, i am sure i'll remember where i put even at the very hide corner.

Wow, it's very interesting but not new for me coz I faced the same thing too! :p I used to keep my red packet(ang pau)during Chinese New Year. Usually I got no place to hide it but I only have a cupboard in my room. I put my money into a drawer in the cupboard. I won't simply spend it coz all the money my parents and relatives gave me I treated it as valuable thing. But, I forgot I put my money in the drawer coz I seldom to open the drawer and I didn't check it. One day I opened the drawer to find something, fortunately I found the money I hid. Wow, so much of it!! It likely I found gold and diamond.....hehehe( big joke ). It's a big surprised for me actually. I smirk when I refresh the past..... Cheers!!!!!!!!

I think that probably everyone does this at one time or another. One time I went to my grandma's and she had the house torn apart. She told me that she was looking for a bond to give to my grandfather and she was frantic. But she finally found it hiding under the dining \ room rug.

Whew, I thought I was the only one that 'put money up' and then forgot where I safely placed it. It really is good to know that I am not alone and I can honestly say that I know exactly how you gals/guys feel when you can't find it. But I am also guilty of putting my jewelry is safe places and forgetting where those safe places are... Gosh I really need a back-up plan to help me locate where all of those safe places are...

Oh my, I recall a news article recently about this elderly Israeli woman who stashed her life savings in her mattress, and forgot to tell her daughter about it. The latter thought to give her mother a new mattress for a gift, and had the old one thrown in the city dump. They had to rummage about the area to recover it (don't know if they ever did). Morale of the story: unless one has a memory-proof and safe hiding place, it's probably a better idea to keep money in a bank account, or just a couple of nooks in the house.

Yes.Sometimes I do such things.So now I have to put the money in the same place.I put the money in a cashbox.The cashbox is in my cupboard.I suggest that you won't hide the money becasue maybe you don't remeber where you put it one day.That's very bad!You should be learn to managing your money.It's very important.

That is an ironically funny question for me right now. I do have a tendency to hide money from myself, but I normally know where it is when I need it. This weekend, my husband took half of his weekly money and hid it from himself rather than asking me to hold on to it as he normally does. He ried to find it yesterday for one reason or another, and he still hasn't found it! I figure that it will turn up when we really need it.

I don't forget if i keep things specially money. Although I have to save money so I know where do i keep them and it will never surprise me like you. But sometimes when you need money, it will always be there, we just don't know. It is like here, we have Mylot, we have information, the money is just there, but we don't know how to maximize it, and once we unveil the mystery and secrets of earning here, we will surely like it. One time, my grandfather gave me some money in a Birthday card. I misplaced it and couldn't find it. Years later, while I was doing a thourough clean up job of my room, I found the card and the money underneath my bed. It was a neat surprise and came in handy. Since then I keep hoping to find some more cash hidden away somewhere. I sometimes remember doing that. If I did I honestly can't remember where it is, though. My sister thinks that she also mislaid a card somewhere and is searching for it to this day!
