I'm new to mylot and I just had a couple questions, I'm sure I will have more as I spend more time on it but right now I was just wondering what the number in parenthesis next to people's username was. Also I read somewhere that it is possible to make $5-$8 an hour for serious myLot users and I was pretty amazed that someone could make that kind of money. There are probably a lot of serious myLot users out there and I'm just curious to know if it is true.

The number behind your user name is the number of discussions you either have responded to or started. As far as making that much an hour in mylot, I don't know if that is true or not. I haven't ever made that much. Thing is I am not in here 24/7 either. Mylot is a good place though, lots of different subjects, idea's, opinions, etc. Take the time to read the Guidelines, this way you know the rights and wrongs in mylot. Welcome to Mylot, I hope you a good experience here.

That number is actually the sum of started discussions with at least one response, responses on discussions by others AND the first comment on discussions started by others. If you also do the 'tasks' as well as taking part in the discussions then the amount you can earn increases highly.

Well, it looks like someone else answered the parenthesis question. About the $5-$8 an hour for a serious mylotter, I think that would be incredibly difficult. I can spend a few hours in a day and not even make a buck. Maybe someone else can make that much, but not anyone that I know =) Though, now that there are mylot tasks, you could make more by doing those. The writing tasks pay $2 and they take me maybe half hour to forty five minutes. I've been on mylot for over a year now and have never made more than about .70 cents a day (WITHOUT TASKS) and that was a few hours and a lot of work...but I don't have any active referrals, having those would help out a lot. Anyways, just make sure you make quality discussions and responses. Put your discussions in the proper category so more people who are interested in them can find them and just have fun. It would be difficult to make that much an hour (I think), but this site is a lot of fun, so give it a good chance and try not to focus too much on the money. Welcome to myLot!

Hello ace and welcome to myLot. The number in parenthesis is the number of discussions and responses that you have made. I doubt very much that any one is make $5- $8 an hour on myLot. You get at least 1 cent per a discussion or response. If ir is a good quality discussion or response you may get as much as 3 to 4 cents possibly a little more. To get $5-$8 dollars an hour would take a lot of discussions and responses. you might possible get a$1 a day. You can get more if you have referrals. You can get a bit from them posting.

The number also includes the first comment on discussions by others too. That causes the number to increase as well and the tasks boost your earnings considerably if they are accepted.

I think I don't have to discuss the meaning of that number since MsDiana and the rest of Mylot members here have already stated the meaning of it so you better listen to them. About earning $5-$8 ,well that can only be possible if you were able to get a task done and if it was approved by Mylot. But, you have to wait for days or a week since a lot of members passed the same assignment like you do. So it is not that easy to earn, we need to wait and devote time here. If you are really serious on earning here in Mylot, you need time and be focus on what you do. Just be sure to follow the FAQ so that your topic will not be violating any Mylot rules and you won't be getting any deductions.

About the numbers beside your name, it's the total number of discussions you started and the answers you posted on somebody else's question. I doubt that you can do $5-8 on myLot by posting and answering alone. The most I have done was a little more than $1 a day, and it was the time when I was very addicted here. I have not done myLot tasks ever since they came out with it, so I'm not sure what the rates are, but it COULD be possible if you did a lot of tasks. I'm not 100% sure here, though.

That is the amount of posts that you have made up to this point, whether it be starting discussions, posting responses to discussions or posting comments to the responses of our discussions. As you do more the amount changes, however when you comment to responses to your discussions, the amount doesn't change, but you are still paid. I have started discussions, as well, but mostly I just post responses to other discussions. It is easier for me this way, and I like it better. I hope this hah helped you. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

The number next to your nick name is the sum of response and discussions you have posted. I have roughly counted that 1 response is similar to $0.01, but sometimes not. Just put it as reference. In order to make so huge amount of dollar, i guess you should put your effor to bring in more referrals, then you can earn 25% from their earnings. Happy lotting.

The number next to your name indicates the number od responses you have responded. As the number increased, you will be more and more excited. I felt it when I just joined MyLot. I have never tried to make so much money before and I actually quite amazed with their achievement too. Anyway, welcome to MyLot and happy Mylotting.
