I didn't get to watch the finals of the Confederation Cup live, but i did tape it and i just got done watching it. I don't think Iv'e ever felt more disappointed in U.S. soccer than I do right now. I mean we had a 2-0 lead at halftime and we end up losing the game because we fell apart in the second half. It was so disappointing to watch, we let Brazil score within the first minute of the second half and we let them get their third goal off a corner because we couldn't mark up well enough. The U.S. can't afford to let their guard down against a team like Brazil, because they can punish a team at any moment. But in the grand scheme of things, we did do alright overall in the tournament beating Egypt 3-0 and beating Spain, it just stings a little to watch Brazil come back like that in the second half. I'm just wondering if there is hope for the U.S. in the World Cup, because if we are to go far in the World Cup we are going to have to be able to play the whole 90 minutes more composure and beat good teams like Brazil. Also I was curious to find out why Ronaldinho wasn't starting for Brazil, did he just not make the cut??? And where is Taylor Twellman for the U.S, is he hurt? Because I know he's good enough to play for us.

I'm a Brazilian supporter but still I'm impressed by the way USA have been playing in the last three matches. I know you and every other USA supporter must be feeling sad (assuming you are a USA fan) that USA lost after leading 2-0 at the break.
Donovan's goal was really cool, counter-attacking football at its best.
But you can't really expect a team like Brazil not to retaliate. So actually the US didn't "let their guard down" Brazil just came out to win in the second half. You could see that in the way they played.
About the USA's chances in the World Cup, I totally agree with you. They'll have to show a lot more composure than what they showed day before yesterday.
They'll have to beat the likes of Brazil, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, etc. And they'll have to do that continuously to win it. They beat Spain once but they'll have to do just that everytime.
About Ronaldinho, I'm not very impressed by the way he's doing things nowadays.
He looks like he's lost interest in football. So its not surprising that he wasn't included in the squad.
