Hello friends,
There have been many great people belonging to different religions. These people have inspired the world with their thoughts and acts. Being a Catholic by faith, I think the following saints inspire me;
St. Francis Xavier, who always spoke the truth and Mother Teresa, who worked for the poor.
There are many Hindu saints notably Saint Tukaram who inspires me with his abhangas(poems). They have good messages.
I would like to know which Saints of your religion inspire you, also please mention saints of other religion who inspire you.

Hey there!
I've also known Saint Tukaram, since I too am a Maharashtrian.
The man with religious affinity I've quite admired is Swami Vivekananda. I confess I don't know his works and opinions much but all I'm aware is that he was the pioneer of renaissance in a way. And the Indian society was quite in need of it. He had got a peculiar charisma I guess which led to his success around the world. However I've also heard flip about him. Still, his job is impossible to imitate. He obviously is a great figure.
Another man (rather non-religious) I admire is Osho Rajneesh. His personal follies notwithstanding, all or most of what he spoke was full of solid impact and undeniable truth. He had loads of guts in him.
Btw, I'm an atheist/agnostic but still I never fall short of admiring deserving religious personalities!
