Do you think you should be allowed to shoot someone inside your home?

If someone breaks into your house you shoot you better make sure he is killed. There was a case here in my state where a man broke into a house and the owner shot him, causing him permanent injuries. The burglar went to jail, but sued for his injuries and ended up winning the man's farm. As for me, I will pack up everything and help him carry it to his car or bicycle whatever he has stolen to drive.

Yes I do. However the situation must warrant the shooting and not all shootings are meant to kill. I have been in the situation and as easy as it is to say, it is not that easy to shoot. I eventually got the police to arrest them.
However if you find the person in your bedroom and the situation is life threatening / dangerous then yes i think you should be able to shoot but unfortunately then you become the criminal.

I th ink you should be allowed to shoot anyone who enters your house without permission. It's a way of protecting yourself and your family.

It depends. If the person inside your house is not doing anything wrong, you should not immediately shoot him. Ask him why he is there and let him go out. If he refuses, warn him. Ask the help of neighbors or the officials to arrest him. It's very difficulto to shoot at once at a person just inside your house. If he fights and necessary force is applied, it's okay. Give the warning shot butdo not at all shot unless it is necessary.

Yes I do if that person has broken in or poses any threat to myself or my family. In Florida, the law used to read that the person had to be more than half way into your home, as thru a window, before you could shoot him. That law has since changed.
I would really make an effort to call 911 or get help otherwise before going the route of shooting anyone, but if I had to do it, I would.

If someone is entering your house illegally, all of their rights should be forfeited, including their right to live if a homeowner feels safer shooting first and asking questions later.

If someone broke into my house and my family or myself were at risk I would not hesitate to shoot them, legal or not, when it comes to my family I wont wait to see if the intruder is going to try to hurt them, or myself for that matter, thats the risk they took when they decided they had the right to break into my home.
